  1. I remember a Flash 4 version of this that was made 17 years ago on Newgrounds.
  2. I'm surprised that Roger Barr of I-Mockery.com hasn't done a piece on this. (He's real big on the 7800 and Lynx.)
  3. Am I the only person who is imagining Garry Chalk voicing Haggar in Final Fight?

      I sorta imagined Jesse Ventura.

I mean he was another pro wrestler turned politician, you know. :P

  4. @DracIsBack: Agreed. Hell, the Sega Master System version of Rastan Saga had FM chip support, which made it sound nicer than the PSG version. By the way, what do you guys think of my other choices?
  5. There was something about having a good balance between aesthetics and functionality in the early-2000s Internet that has been lost on many a website. Oh, and I preferred Macromedia's versions of Flash over Adobe's. (Much more stable.)
  6. Rastan Saga - Why hasn't anyone brought up this Taito classic? Return of the Invaders (1985) Gaplus Vanguard I & II Mad Crasher Marvin's Maze Inferno Wiz Warz Tylz Screw Loose Xain'd Sleena/Solar Warrior Baraduke/Alien Sector Libble Rabble Rolling Thunder Thunder Force (as in Technosoft, but that's an obscure Sharp X1 game.) Phozon Ramais Exsizus The Ninja Warriors Darius Chiller
  7. https://soundcloud.com/ryan-alhizen/fist-of-the-north-star-english-opening Mike Egan's Fist of the North Star opening theme is still awesome!
  8. @Great Hierophant 1. Agreed, though Circle of the Moon, the two Sorrow games, and Order of Ecclesia provided better challenges. 2. Aside from Alucard, the Imp Familiar, and Death, I have to agree. By the way, Robert Belgrade also did voice work on the Super NES Star Ocean. 3. Agreed, it is one of the rare instances where the GBA/DS titles have the advantage. 4. I can live with that. 5. I can live with that. 6. Agreed, it just felt like padding. Even the Saturn version's extras felt more interesting than the Inverted Castle. Speaking of the Saturn version, it could have been much better if it were in development at the same time as the PS1 version.
  9. I thought I'd discuss things about CastleVania: Symphony of the Night that you didn't like.
  10. Am I the only person who thinks that Edgar Wright tried too hard with the Scott Pilgrim movie?

Personally I thought it was Awesome! It's pretty hard to capture the weird spirit of the graphic novels in movie form so I thought he did well, but to each his own.

I've heard worse criticisms, but I think they come from not relating to it. I've had friends who liked it and disliked it based on its own merits...

I thought it was interesting how roughly the first half was pretty much a perfect adaptation, and then they kind of did their own thing through to the end. I first, I was a bit put off by that, but I have come around to it in subsequent viewings. I can't believe how much it got right, really.

  11. Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan: still annoying and poorly written. You're better off watching New Cutey Honey instead.

Funny i actually met and partied with Go Nagai back at some anime convention back in the 90s! Cutey Honey is ok though. I respect it,but never was a big fan.

  12. Mr. Tahquechi, Do you have any actual video footage of those Lynx and Jaguar games or not?
  13. Another Dead Reviews is going to do a piece on the Jaguar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FycllpkbB2Q

      Update:

He's planning on doing the Jaguar CD next ep.
  14. I miss when South Park was actually funny, instead of being obnoxiously insipid.

Seems like Simpsons suffered when Futurama was funniest, just like Family Guy began to suffer as American Dad got really good...I'm not even saying there's a connection, but doesn't it seem that way?

Overall I like them all though. Everything will have its ups and downs.

SP started to suffer from seasonal rot around 2001-2002. However, I did enjoy Good Times With Weapons with Trey Parker's fake Japanese singing. After that, however, it went downhill more spectacularly than Newgrounds did around 2012. I don't watch The Simpsons very often, but still watch old reruns and the Ullman-era shorts.

  15. Looking good so far, Smitty. I bet you'll be one of the best 7800 Homebrewers around.
  16. Your 65c02 Assembly and pixel artistic skills are beyond amazing.
  17. I have to choose one car under $12,000 dollars, and must be within ten miles of Slidell, Louisiana.

I'd get a mid to late 60's 'Merican convertible with a small block V8 or even a straight 6. It'd be a nice cruiser to take up to DQ. My friend has a '68 Buick convertible that he bought for $6k in mint shape off the original owner's family.

Maybe consider an A-body Mopar like a Dodge Dart Swinger/Plymouth Scamp. They look nicer than a Nova in my opinion.

could not stand speed racer back in the day.

While I did find the acting to be good, and Speed, his family, Trixie, Racer X, the Mach 5, and the Mammoth Car were faithful to the source; there was too much CG, too many bits from American cartoons and F-Zero, and the editing was unconductive to the race scenes.

    3. Random Terrain

      Random Terrain

I hated the cartoon back then, so I have no interest, except to go back in time and erase it from existence.

  19. Nintendo Complete does Batman Returns:

To be honest, this game had potential to be good, but the difficulty ruined it.
  20. Old School Trance Music:

  21. It's about time the Lynx got another homebrew game. May not be the next Zaku, but still nice nonetheless.
  22. Your demos are quite impressive. Now if only you guys made a Lynx game with your 65c02 Assembly skills...
