Here's another WIP, just adjusted the filter on the Wobble Bass, swapped out the 'Almost 303' for a different 'Acid Lead' in Synth1, added a Bell Synth for a harmonized lead, and a sub bass done in Surge. -
I don't know if anyone here remembers Broken Saints, but I found it to be overrated and not good. Sure, Brooke Burgess had interesting and original ideas, but they got wasted on agonizingly slow pacing, incompetently puzzling dialogue, maudlin music that doesn't fit, and hardly had any real animation. Twisted Metal 2's cutscenes did the whole 'motion comic' thing better. (Much better, mind you.) Outside of TM2, Clutch Cargo, and UPA's The Tell-Tale Heart, I hate motion comics.

I heard that Shenmue 3 was pretty bad, but how bad is it really?

For those who played Shin Megami Tensei III on the PS2, Atlus has announced a Hi-Def remaster:
Oh, and SMTV is coming out next year.

Here's a live version of one of the songs from Vertexer. It makes me wonder why Taito never had Ving port this to the Saturn...

Here's a really cool video on how to create textures for 3D models:
Even if you aren't making a ROM hack, this is actually quite handy.

For those who wanted to hear more Acid:
Tempo: 128 BPM
Scale: G Melodic Minor
Software: Presonus Studio One, Synth1, and Surge.

Sometimes when I click my mouse, it registers as a double-click. Has anyone here experienced this, and is anyone here experienced in fixing it.

My first attempt at making a warning sound effect in PreSonus Studio One: https://www.bandlab.com/fighting_zenith/zenithian-khei-warning-2d773052?revId=c9be0ea7-e4b0-ea11-96d3-501ac51f5e37
I'm quite proud of this, but am open to criticism.

There's just something about Einhänder's soundtrack that always hits the spot:

As much as I love Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, and both of the Sin & Punishment games; I'll be the first to admit that Treasure's games are not above criticism. In particular, I still think that Radiant Silvergun's storyline is awful. Not helped by its maudlin, barely-animated cutscenes and dull, uninteresting characters.

I know that I've said this numerous times on various websites, but I find Final Fantasy VII to be pretentious, poorly-paced, convoluted, poorly-written, and boring. On the other hand, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is still excellent to this very day.

I've always wondered why Robocop Vs The Terminator (Gen/MD) had no boss battle music. Was it due to the deadline or ROM space?
-
interesting question. I'm going to assume space issues. The largest game for the Genesis was 5MB so 16 Mega bits (the actual size, props to vimm.net)
presented issues. Not only did they have to compress the audio, but the sprites for the characters, and the background themselves would've made a boss battle impractical. I can see it being re released for the 32X or sega CD though. IF there was a boss battle, i think it would've crashed the cart or possibly overloaded the 68000 CPU inside the machine. the 68000 series can address 16MB and the additional sprite and background data for said boss fight (assuming an additional 16k) would NOT be possible. You would have to modify the 68000 chip inside to address more than 16MB, possibly by replacing it with an aftermarket chip that allows 64MB, but then that screws up the timing for the z80 so there's that.
If the Genesis had three other processors that took the load off, it might be feasible but on a stock genesis, it would be highly impractical.
as mentioned above, if it were re released for the 32X, the extra power would come in handy. The RISC processors and greatly expanded video and regular ram (256k each). would be more than enough to supplement for the background sprites while the main 68000 draws the boss and foreground area and the 32X's improved video brightens up dark areas. time just ran out and space was cramped but a re release for the 32X would
make this game damn near perfect.

I just realized that when making a homebrew game, start with something small and finish it first. Then move on to bigger, more ambitious projects.

Friendly reminder that the Pickford Brothers have a Plok webcomic that is still going. Link: http://www.zee-3.com/plok/
That game's soundtrack still kicks ass to this very day.

Here's a Goa Track that I also made: https://shanefromslidell.bandcamp.com/track/dark-mandala
I'd like to hear your honest thoughts on these two.

Am I the only person who thinks that a One Piece MMO/Open World game would be doable if Toei and Bandai Namco played their cards right? At least it would be a better Assassin's Creed 4 or Sea of Thieves than both of them.
