DBZ is fun to go back to, at least the Raditz, Saiyan, and Frieza sagas. The Cell and Buu sagas, on the other hand, tried too hard and were a complete bore.

Vigilante 8 has surprisingly aged quite well when compared to its sequel. Though, in the latter's defense, if you have a '73-'77 GM A-Body in your car combat game, Luxoflux and Activision did something right.

I'm split on the new BattleToads. On one hand, it kept the varied gameplay of the hard-as-shit original. On the other, The Dark Queen's new design is awful, the cutscenes look rather cheap when compared to the in-game animation, and the colors chosen come off as gaudy.

I'm currently grooving to Darius Burst's soundtrack. Seriously, Zuntata, Taito, and Pyramid had a grand slam with that. Hinder Four, World of Spirit, Hello 31337, Abyssal Dependence, Tyrant, and Shining Eyes are my favorite tracks.
