  3. Hello! I have a Neo-Geo X and while I like the system and would recommend it to some people, depending on what they want, I'd say $200 is a bit much. However, if you can get it cheaper, maybe it's worth it! It would give you a nice handful of games that you can play and enjoy and unless slightly inaccurate emulation puts you off, I'd say you'd get a lot of nostalgia out of it with the very high quality arcade stick and overall build quality of the handheld. Here is a review I made of it but take into account that I made it years ago. That said, I hope this has helped in any way.
  4. Really interesting cabinet with lots of history! I certainly learned a lot of interesting things from this.
  5. I think this looks very interesting indeed! I've been wanting a console from Hyperkin that plays Atari 2600 for a few years now and as such, am quite excited about this! However, I'm surprised they didn't go for a multi-console. They could have had one that played Atari 7800 too and maybe even systems like Atari 5200, Colecovision and Intellevision. I'm not sure how easy that would have been to techincally make happen but it's a nice idea, I think. That said, as others have said, this is a step in the right direction and I want to hear more about it!
  6. Hey guys! Check out my review of LAST RESORT and MAGICIAN LORD on the NEO-GEO! I hope you enjoy!
  7. Hey guys! I just uploaded a video to my YouTube channel in which I show off my GB, GBC and GBA collection! If you are interested in checking it out, click the link below! Feedback is greatly appriciated and I hope you enjoy!
  8. Happy third anniversary everyone! I totally forgot this was today! (sorry, my bad). That said, this thread has been nothing but great from my experience on it and I'm so glad I joined it. The people on here have been friendly, helpful, welcoming and in general, awesome! I've met so many good people because of this thread and without it, I probably wouldn't have got my NEO-GEO Pocket Colour! So, thank you to anyone who has shared tips and advice prior to me getting one. And of course, thank you to Anthony for setting this thread up! You guys truly rock and I hope this thread persists to be a great showcase of what this amazing community has to offer. And, I'm sure it will be. All the best everyone and get playing some NEO-GEO!!!
  9. I too would highly recommend the NEO-GEO Pocket Colour. I think it is a great, underrated handheld with lots to offer. While there are plenty of fighting games, there are other genres too. If you are interested, I did a video about the NGPC a while back. Funny enough, I look at a Metal Slug game, Sonic and Pacman, the three games you mentioned! Haha! Hope this helps! (:
  10. Hello everyone! I have just uploaded a review to my YouTube channel, Byron's Reviews of Asteroids on the PS1. The creator of this thread, Games Of Reference also starrs in it! It may not be specifically related to the PlayStation 2 but seeing as the PS2 is backwards compatable, I thought I would post a link to the video here in case it peaked the interest of any PlayStation fans! I would appriciate it very much if you could check the review out. It can be found linked below. Feedback is greatly appreciated and I hope you all have a great day.
  11. Ah, yes! The PS2! It's a console that I have a lot of memories with. My brother and I both loved it! We would play games such as Crash, Spyro, various Sonic the Hedgehog titles and many other weirder games like Crazy Frog Racer 2!!! However, our PS2 broke. I must've been about ten when it happened. At that point, I made a decission that I so dearly regret to this day. I sold ALL of our PS2 games... Now, I have a PS3, I can actually play PS2 games again so while I may have been able to buy some new PS2 games, there are still many from my childhood that I no longer have. Oh well, at least I have many great memories with the system and that's all that matters! Thanks for creating this thread, Rhys!
  12. I personally would say that the NEO-GEO X is a good system for casual NEO-GEO fans who perhaps aren't used to the original hardware as it gives them a good handful of some very classic games! The build quality is great too. But for more hardcore NEO-GEO fans, there really isn't any reason I can see to get one. However, as a casual fan myself, I like my NEO-GEO X quite a bit! I find it to be a nice little unit so as Anthony said, if you can find it for a good price, go for it!
  13. Great pickups, Anthony! Been enjoying those fighting games I see! :D
  14. NICE!!!! Great Pick Ups, Anthony! Your collection is just so impressive! Not many people can say they have a NEO-GEO collection as big as yours and this is just a fraction of it! Amazing. Keep up the collecting, mate!
  15. I remember picking up that issue of Retro Gamer! It sure is a great magazine. (:
