  1. Glad to hear that you finally got your dream computer Also, great idea for a youtube channel. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Thanks for the great answers! I do have a 1541 drive that I suspect has bad ROM chips. that might be a good candidate to mod - since it appears that JiffyDOS replaces the ROM chips. That would solve two problems I was considering getting an SD2IEC for that machine - so I am really glad to hear that it is supported.
  3. I'm just curious here- I recently added a C64 that had been modded with Jiffy DOS to my collection. Part of the mod was a switch to use either the standard OS or the Jiffy DOS version. Is there a reason to not use Jiffy DOS? are the compatibility issues with some software?
  4. thanks for putting those together! I love watching repair videos and they are a great resource when my systems break.
  5. If it had to be an Atari Machine - I would go with Area 51. I was really addicted to that game - the Saturn version was good, but the arcade was amazing.
  6. Rusty Quarters is gone - the new spot is UpDown arcade bar. http://www.updownmpls.com/ UpDown is really great - their machines are in nice shape and they have a great selection. The layout kind of sucks, but I understand that sometimes you have to just work with the space that you can get. It is an arcade bar - and they sell cheap tokens instead of having the games on free play. You can either buy tokens or you get a few with each drink. Rusty Quarters didn't know what it wanted to be. It was like the owner wanted public funding for his own collection of games. I tried to go there like four times when they were in business during their posted hours - and every time they were closed. when I would look at their facebook page later, I would see a post that basically said "I didn't feel like going to work today so we are closed". If he could have at least kept to posted hours - maybe he would have been a bit more popular. We also have Hidden Treasures arcade, which actually is just a couple of guys trying to fund their own collection. They have their "final" event scheduled for 1/28. They were open one weekend every other month for a while... but it has been about a year since their last event. It sounds like they are shutting down completely now.
  7. My first DVD player was in an e-machines PC in 1999. The first DVD that I bought was U-571. Basically I was in college and I wanted a way to buy a DVD player and make it look like it was a practical investment.
  8. I love this mod! Batman is a perfect fit for the game. Thanks for sharing it!
