  1. That sounds like a deal to me, but... Let me see what I can do about burning a chip. You realize that my chip has a rev level of RFD 2.1? I'm not even sure if it is still working. Is you chip a 2716 chip? Can you send me all the info on the chip itself? After looking at my chip, I'm pretty sure that I can make you a copy it. DavidMil
  2. Best and myatari are both out of the 12 foot video cables like the ones that came with the 400/800 computers. Does anyone know of an alternate source to replace these cables? Thank you, DavidMil
  3. It seems like every time I put a Atari plastic part in the dish washer, the labels get washed off. It got to the point that I had more than eight 850's and nine 835's that were missing labels. I like to buy Atari products on Ebay, recondition them, and then resell them on Ebay. Problem is, you have to have all the labels to get any kind of a decent price. So after some searching I found that starwander (here on AtariAge) can make them, and they look great. I've attached a pic to show the ones he made for me. My thanks to starwander! DavidMil
  4. Hello Nezgar. This has been a while back, and my memory looks and works about as well as a cotton ball. Did I ever send you those dumps? David
  5. I'm curious, what would the voltage and frequency of the power supply and video output be for this computer from Egypt? DavidMil
  6. I have a friend that has a bare 1090 board. I've been trying to talk him down for over a year. I got him down from his original price of $5000 but I can't get him to budge from $2000. I gave up several months ago and told him to call me if he ever wanted to sell it for $500 (which is still way high), but this thread is about nut cases.... The sad truth is that as things get older they get more expensive (except for people)! (unless you count heath care)!! David
  7. My wife was born and raised in E-Town. David
  8. While surfing Ebay I noticed that prices are going through the roof! I guess that price gouging can apply to more than gasoline and groceries. But this... Well, check it out... WOW! DavidMil
  9. I would still like to see what is inside of that cartridge. DavidMil
  10. To this day, when I do RAM (or other) upgrades, I will still wrap a couple of turns around a lifted IC leg before soldering. It makes it so much easier to keep the wire on the IC leg! As my hands have stared to shake more, this has become a much better way to do the upgrades. David
  11. Only problem with 8 mm is that this reel is 36mm wide. I used to have a lot of 8mm moves too. I have no idea what ever happened to them. All good answers here! I'll add one. This could be a good device to to sell to the CIA. Imagine using this as a device to question prisoners. Put that up the prisoners nose and start twisting. I'll talk, I'll talk!!!
  12. Ok folks: How many of you know what this is? And... How many of you have ever used one? DavidMil
  13. Looks like you are on a roll. Don't see many right hand cartridges... DavidMil
  14. Here is the Ebay info. His posting includes a link to Mouser to order the correct connectors. DavidMil
  15. I just received four 3D printed female SIO shells that I ordered from Ebay. The pictures on Ebay don't do the hoods justice. They are actually much nicer looking than the pics on Ebay. There is some 'slag' in the screw hole that holds the halves together and a few very fine threads in the square holes for the electrical clips, but other than that, they look great. The Molex connectors fit perfectly and the hoods close perfectly. Eight dollars for all four (including shipping and tax) is a good price! DavidMil
  16. My thanks to Mr Robot for a wonderful job on this label! DavidMil
  17. My last post on this thread... Brad is Brad. If you don't like it, move on, but don't start trying to convince others to boycott him because you or others that you know have had a bad experience. As I've said before, he and I have had words (sometime slightly heated) over the years, but we have always reached and understanding. And I have always gotten what I ask for unless it's now out of stock! Be polite and civil (and yes, it doesn't hurt to butter him up a little). Everyone likes to know that they are appreciated. If that is ass-kissing then yes, I am guilty. But I would much rather deal with someone who asks how my day is going, then someone who complains about prices or order size! By the way, EBay is ending its' agreements with Paypal because of rate increases. I know because they had stopped using Paypal to pay venders, and now Ebay wants my bank account number and the routing code so they can direct deposit the money (or remove money) from my bank account! Like that is going to happen... DavidMil
  18. That is a lot of info to look through! David
  19. Sobering and a little frightening too! One of the reasons I'd rather remain ignorant of theses things. DavidMil
  20. Thanks for the info Nezgar! David
  21. I just saw several 800XE's on Ebay. So what is the difference between a 130XE and a 800XE? DavidMil
  22. In the 80's Brad used to throw in little patches and other stuff along with the orders as a kind of thank you. I still have some of the brochures and little Atari patches and Fuji stickers that he added to my orders. I don't think that he is a full time one man operation as I have talked to someone on the phone at times who says that he will take a message for Brad, but Brad insists that he never gets them. For anyone to put up with a situation like that I have to assume that it must be family! Anyway I just placed and order with him last week and it arrived two days later wrapped up in ancient Atari tape that I have to get out a jack hammer to cut open! I'll keep dealing with him! But after almost 50 years stuck in a warehouse, I'd be a bit crotchety too! DavidMil PS. If Brad ever reads this site some of you guys will be on his 'forever' black list! DM
  23. Some of the cartridge labels went over the top and down the back of the shell. Like Monkey Wrench II and Wizard of Wor. Does any know of a location that has the complete labels for these types of cartridges, and not just the front? DavidMil
