It's really simple to make a mame cabinet will real arcade controller. One cabinet does all. Or make a mini controller box by hacking a £5 USB controller and have a nice HDMI connection to your big TV.. If you've not tried make recently then it's pretty much perfect for any pre-1995 game. If there two machines were sitting side by side, I'd have never chosen the atari version over the arcade. Yes, it's interesting for a very short time, and some may like the challenge, but certain games never seemed live up to the arcade.

There are games worth playing again for old times sake, I don't see the appeal of a poor copy when you can have the real one if full quality. I played it to death 34 years ago, then would get slaughtered in the real arcade as the AI was somewhat better. Regardless of the name of this site, it doesn't affect the question. why would you choose it over the genuine one. I could give a few reasons.....

I'm not putting the 2600 version down, it was great at the time, but why choose the 2600 version over MAME?

"Wings of death" maybe, it was a cool little game
