Who is going to buy the Playstation VR this October?
mmertes replied to Bilnick's topic in Sony PlayStation 4
I'm pretty impressed with it. I had a Oculus Rift DK2 headset and ended up getting rid of it once a few of my VR projects were finished up due to not being impressed with it. The PS VR is easy to use, feels comfortable and the games are pretty solid. -
Now that's awesome! 20 bucks is a great price for this game. I need to go play it again, but I'm in the middle of finishing Policenauts on the Saturn.

Anyone else bought the SW Battlefront Season Pass?
mmertes replied to Tickled_Pink's topic in Microsoft Xbox One
I bought both the game and its DLC Season Pass and really, really need to get back into the game. Its been almost 5 months since I've played it. The Death Star stuff looks quite amazing. -
Just conventions for me these days. With how many bootleg versions of carts float around now on eBay, I want to get a good look at them before I fork over my hard earned money.

Agreed! They definitely tweaked the recovery time for your suit in the remake. In only takes a couple of seconds to get full health in the remake as opposed to almost 30 seconds in the original.

Any fans of Target: Earth among the forums here? I actually fired it up for the first time yesterday after playing the PS4 remake that just came out. I found it to be pretty enjoyable, though it can get difficult in some places. I was familiar with its sequel, Assault Suit Leynos 2 and its spin off; Cybernator and it was pretty neat seeing the series origin point being on the Genesis. Did anyone pick this up when it first came out? I was nose deep into the NES during its original 1990 release, so I never had any exposure to its before just recently. The remake is pretty fun as well though they've borrowed many elements from Cybernator to mix things up a little. I did a quick video play of it as well, feel free to check it out to jog your memory on the game or experience it for the first time.

My new video is up on the Japanese only PC Engine title City Hunter!

Everything in my game library I intend to play. Over the years I've parted with my PC-FX, Game Gear and other miscellaneous systems that I just didn't get any enjoyment out of and I didn't see the point of just letting it sit on a shelf.

Space Ace. So bad, I cried. Like actually shed tears. -
Yesterday was the first time I played it actually! Its one of those titles I never ran into during the 90's.

Every arcade version I've come across has been broken, so I've never had the chance to play it. I think I have a copy of the SNES version floating around somewhere. -
I remember a time when there were no bad games.

Space Ace for the SNES was so bad, it actually brought me to tears. Easily my worst weekend rental experience...EVER! -

That was my issue. The first console I plugged in to the Framemeister was a Genesis and its RGB quality blew me away. When I plugged in my original Super Nintendo from 1992, it looked good; just not as impressive. Thus my venture into picking up a 1CHIP and I can easily say it was worth the pick up for it. My 92 SNES is still in use though on the downstairs TV with the HD Retrovision cables attached. -

Agreed. I just went with the RGB method with a Framemeister and it looks amazing, though I'm using a 1CHIP SNES1 instead of the model 2. -

I wanted those so bad when I was a kid. I'm glad Viz Entertainment re-printed the Zelda one. Hopefully there is some hope for the Mario, Super Metroid and Star Fox comics to get reprinted. If I only I made money back then, I'm sure I have had everything from those catalogs! -

Seeing those cassette tapes brings back memories of ordering the first DKC soundtrack from the Nintendo Power Super Power Club Supplies Catalog back in the day. Sooo good! -

I highly recommend these as well. They hold up nicely and perform like the original controllers they are based on. -
Reading this stuff terrifies me that I have ticking time bombs on my shelf, just waiting to stop working.

I still have to check this game out at some point! My Sega CD was just refurbished, so maybe this is one I will start doing the Holidays.

Does my copy of Ninja Gaiden have a reprint label?

I really need to play the SNES version of YSIV. I've only played the TG16CD version, but do own Mask of the Sun. Picked it up a game convention this year, actually! -
What series do you want to see go All Star?
mmertes replied to KWKBOX's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Already mentioned, but Castlevania really needs an All-Stars version packed with a large art book of all the Castlevania art.
