  1. Main Street Publishing re-released many games in budget format and sometimes had weird packaging such as this box: http://www.a8preservation.com/#/software/release/6074 The label is typical Main Street Publishing "quality" and even the disk sleeve is in line with what the company churned out. Sometimes, it seems they just used leftovers found God knows where.
  2. Would you be willing to make .wav files of some of your tapes so they can be archived for the Atari Software Preservation Initiative project? For example, there is no cassette dump of any of the Early Games programs and Juggles' House needs to be verified.
  3. No, it's entirely clear California Games would've been developed by Epyx but released on cartridge by Atari under catalog number RX8122 through the licensing agreement mentioned in the letter.
  4. It would also be interesting to know what happened to Winter Games, which supposedly exists as a prototype at least.
  5. The first version was likely just a PD program and never published as a type-in.
  6. Thanks, the game gives the right colors if you play with Altirra's "artifacting phase" option.
  7. Do the bricks look blue or green on regular NTSC hardware?
  8. Jeff is referring to Championship Lode Runner, not Lode Runner proper.
  9. What makes you think this is due to bad deprotection? There's an .atx file somewhere which seems to play just fine with artifacted colors, the only problem being the bricks turn out green instead of blue if you don't adjust the graphics.
  10. Thanks for that! BTW, still looking for this one as well!
  11. Found by accident while exploring some random old disks: http://www.atarimania.com/demo-atari-400-800-xl-xe-zarjaz_37256.html
  12. Hope to see some pictures in honor of Diego Maradona, tried one but it didn't do him justice.
  13. Really love it. Too bad there's no loading picture and the options screen looks a bit cheap compared to the game itself.
  14. Spelunker was never released on tape. I believe the different music in The Goonies had to do with the rights to Cyndi Lauper's song which were for the US only (though early copies sold on disk by US Gold probably sneaked out and had the original music).
  15. Some more: Chopper Rescue, Choplifter! (though it was released on cartridge and not tape), B-1 Nuclear Bomber, Crossfire...
  16. Some games have an additional loading screen or better presentation, not sure that qualifies...
