Great Do you mind if we archive your creations on our site and offer them for download? Thanks again for sharing! -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -
I was actually kidding. As long as you don't resort to moronic anti-French xenophobia with baseless arguments, I really don't care what anyone has to say. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

Amazing how those silly Americans always need to use the "suck" and "fuck" variety of words. Must be some kind of inferiority complex -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

Finally some American wit and finesse. You definitely can't beat it -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

You could also contact ABBUC in Germany, they have something like 600 members worldwide and publish a disk magazine every two months. Tell them what your plans are, write a simple article about your game that they'll include in their newsletter and you may arouse some interest there. BTW, most people seem to think the Internet is everything but there are many A8 users who frequent other boards or just don't have Internet access at all. Just my two cents... -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

Are you sure it was the right guy? J. D. Casten contacted us a couple of months after we opened our site so we have his current address. I don't want his e-mail to be spread around without his permission so if you have any questions, just pass them on to me and I'll haul them over to him. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

The best brain game for Atari 8 Bits

Line-Up -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -
I never step in when I read such drivel but this is getting way too far... I understand French-bashing is "in" at the moment but do you REALLY feel better now you've shown us how brainless you are? What kind of a frustrated moron are you? Keep your xenophobia and diarrhea out of this place -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

Forbidden Forest... Dammit!!
www.atarimania.com replied to dr. kwack's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
There are two versions of Aztec Challenge on the Atari but they're completely different from the rewritten C64 release. Fun for a while but don't expect too much... Super Huey is OK, a lot like the Commodore version, though you should really try Tomahawk if you like helicopter simulators. In general, Cosmi games tend to be a bit crappy on the Atari... -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -
What is your favorite BASIC game ??
www.atarimania.com replied to LYNXGUY's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Was that a type-in from the UK? The Page 6 / Atari User / New Atari User type-ins can be found quite easily but there are many listings from Computer & Video Games, Your Computer, Games Computing... still MIA. I have some of those early UK mags and can scan the listings. Anybody willing to type them in and send them to us so we can archive them? -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -
http://www.classicgaming.com/mdb/m1/m1source.txt Could this be of use to A8 programmers? -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

Very well done Does Steve Kranish know anything else about other A8 PB games? There are still at least five mysteries to be solved: - why was the A8 version of Tutankham canned? - what happened to the other board game, Clue? - whatever happened to the A8 version of The Lord of the Rings (heck, a McDonald's proto was found so why not that one?)? - was the sequel to Montezuma's Revenge ever started? - an A8 version of Q*bert's Qubes was listed in some dealer catalogs, what happened to that one? -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com

8-Bit Prototype Information Needed!
www.atarimania.com replied to Tempest's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I'd consider Mogul Maniac as an Amiga prototype as the game was never released by that company... but Romox bought the rights to the program, which was definitely part of the range sold through their ESD terminals on ECPC cartridges. What we need to know is what happened to the other 20th Century Fox games mentioned in the Romox catalog, for which A8 screenshots exist... -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -
8-Bit Prototype Information Needed!
www.atarimania.com replied to Tempest's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I could be wrong but I believe it's somewhere in the middle of the second level... IIRC, the screen gets filled with garbage and the game becomes completely unplayable. Anybody able to confirm this? -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -
8-Bit Prototype Information Needed!
www.atarimania.com replied to Tempest's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Is this a typo? Is a more complete version available? IIRC, the game crashes on the second level. Any expected release date? Any possibility of other Synapse / Atari games surfacing? -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com -

Flyer states Gold Mine was tape only. I would believe the cartridge pictured is a sample only. Here's the full story: http://www.digitpress.com/archives/arc00168.htm Nope, I'm referring to other titles. I'll send you a PM... Box is said to exist and there is at least a demo of the game. Don't know whether it's the unreleased Epyx port or a rewrite. What about Skyfox? Probably. Check http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...VERSION_ID=2628 and the thread in the VCS section for more information. Don't forget Tigervision as well. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
