  1. Hi, I just received what seems to be a very rare cartridge as it's not listed anywhere. I'll scan it and get back to you... -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  2. Some games from PDI as well... Would you guys be interested in an archive with all those tracks? -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  3. Hi, Does anybody have 1981-82 issues of Compute! or Creative Computing they are willing to part with? Thanks in advance -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  4. Nope, sorry... I actually gave up with PayPal. For reasons unknown, I just can't set up an account. Still, we could arrange otherwise if you're interested in one or several items. Feel free to PM me... -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  5. Hi, Among other things, there's a nice A8 Frogger II cartridge and a rare French mag called L'Atarien. Shipping worldwide. Here's the link for all items: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...ails_and_garlic Thanks for reading. -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  6. Well, apart from some multi-load games, it wouldn't be too difficult. Most of the other programs exist as single files already so it's simply a matter of transferring them to cartridge format. You're right, there were several disk-based A8 Mastertronic titles for the US market: Ninja, LA SWAT / Panther, Despatch Rider, Molecule Man, Vegas Jackpot, Last V8... -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  7. The handheld is about the size of the picture, just slightly smaller. I'm just trying to determine whether it's some sort of simulator for Iberia pilots or something else. I'll ask Rik at the Handheld Games Museum. Thanks -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  8. Would be interesting to compare the proto and the official XE release. BTW, the 1988 version has the warp feature. -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  9. Hi all, Game doesn't work unfortunately... Looks like some sort of simple flight simulator for Iberia pilots (Iberia being Spain's national airline). Opinions? -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  10. Very nice work but what about a port of the updated XE version from 1988? Or is the game too big? You can download the image on our site. -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  11. AFAIK, Bilestoad was announced but never released on the Atari. If you do have a copy, please dump it so it can be archived. -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  12. http://g2f.atari8.info/galeria.html is what he meant -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  13. Thanks a lot, I should've noticed it was a 7800 joystick knob -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  14. Hi all, I recently got this Coleco controller but could not find any picture of it for identification. Can anybody tell me what it is? Thanks  -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  15. Yup, disk release by SEGA in the US. Cartridges of the game were probably deemed too expensive to manufacture. The game appeared on tape and disk in Europe courtesy of US Gold. The disk version is supposed to have more screens. Tapper also appeared on a tape compilation with a slightly different title screen. Weird... -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  16. I told you it was a stupid question. Thanks, it was exactly the answer I expected -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  17. Hi, This will probably sound stupid to most of you but is there a way to "autorun" a Turbo BASIC file? Of course, the disk would already have DOS.SYS and the 145-sector Turbo BASIC (as AUTORUN.SYS) on it but what next? Do I have to LOAD"D:FILE.TUR or is there an automatic way of doing things? Thanks in advance -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  18. GameMaker wasn't released for the A8 You can add Jawbreaker Construction Set, Pole Position Race Designer and Saper to the list, though. -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  19. Arcade Machine, Lode Runner's Rescue, Pinball Construction Set, Robbo... There's also an Arkanoid Construction Set but it hasn't been dumped yet. -- Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com
  20. Hello, Thanks for the comments so far. As we stated, the main reason why we wanted to create this website was to fill in some of the gaps we noticed among the other Atari pages. A fairly big part of the site will deal with the VCS and the A8 (although you should not dismiss the rest). For rare catalogs and scans of hard-to-find cartridges, please visit our 2600 section. Also featured are many pictures not available anywhere else. There will also be many EXCLUSIVE additions in the near future, PAL content and non-US magazines being some of them. The A8 area should please a lot of game lovers. With the recent demise of Homesoft, sites devoted to A8 gaming are few and far between. Our aim is twofold: offer you the ultimate place for your gaming needs and make this place a true repository of complete gameware info. This should prove a big step towards the "preservation act" we want to promote among the A8 community, in the spirit of similar places for other platforms (GB64, EAGER, World of Spectrum, TACGR...). There is already a HUGE amount of rarely-seen box scans, ads and general info in our database (you can now check the figures on the left of the page) and this is only the begining Also feel free to visit the different forums. The Rumor Mill and MIA sections should be valuable to all you completist A8 collectors. We know there are at least SOME of you out there. You know who you are I'll stop here as most of you have already fallen asleep. Just let us know what you think of everything. Outside help would also be greatly appreciated as we want this to be a real community effort. The A8 is turning 25 this year. Let's make this celebration something BIG! -- Atarimania Team http://www.atarimania.com
  21. Hello folks, The guys at Atarimania are proud to announce the grand opening of their website! We hope to make it one of your favorite stops amidst the busy Atari highway. Although we will try to cover most of the Atari machines, the main effort will be towards the venerable VCS and 8-bit computer line. We think there is still some uncharted territory in these two areas and our main goal is to fill this gap, particularly in the gaming department. To whet your appetite, here is what you can expect to see on our site in the near (and not so near) future: - scans of rare catalogs, including international editions - magazine scans, especially rarely-seen foreign issues - scans of hard-to-find documentation - tons of classic Atari game ads taken from magazines - much, much more! As if this was not enough, we also decided to give Atari 8-bit enthusiasts a run for their money: a HUGE section of the site will host the most complete and accurate games database ever devised for these computers! Based on months and months of research, this true encyclopedia will boast a scary amount of information on nearly all programs written for these mighty machines, including ads and box scans in easy-to-view format! Our aim is to make this place the ultimate Atari games repository. Hopefully, this will also lead our community to take part in the "software preservation act" we want to promote, for the benefit of all Atari users. Also feel free to suggest anything as we want this site to be yours! Right, enough talking! Take a deep breath and enjoy your visit! -- Atarimania Team http://www.atarimania.com
