  1. I'll be stocking this as well, for anyone in the US that wants to save on shipping
  2. It's ugly, but it works. I did it to my own CV to make sure - cut the chip bodies out, soldered sockets directly to the legs left behind.
  3. Not yet, but I haven't paid either. Last email was 10/13/2014 and he did say it could be 3-4 months.
  4. Hooray! I'd be happy to help if you'd like. I'm pretty good at maximizing quality / usability and minimizing storage space.
  5. On the off-chance that the new owner of the CV Technical Manuals reads this, I would like to rescan and make these materials available to the public in a high-quality, non-watermarked format. I would be happy to cover all costs for postage, photocopying, or other associated (in)conveniences. Or if you are reasonably close: have scanner, will travel.
  6. I had a chance to eyeball the 5200 modulator recently and there is a single adjustment on the side. I'd be curious if turning it clears up the OPs problems.
  7. Yay, more Christmas games!!! Order placed! Now if someone made a Christmas themed Burgertime... I would be so happy.
  8. The loss of horizontal sync / weird colors makes it look like the modulator is out of alignment. No advice to give as I've never adjusted the modulator on the 5200. The service manual has a "Warped Ragged Picture Troubleshooting" section. It might be worth going through those tests.
  9. Should be fixed, had to put the smack down on an enthusiastic security process. Will continue to monitor banned IP reports for false positives.
  10. You definitely shouldn't be getting blocked! It sounds like I may have a security process that's gone haywire. Can you PM me with your public IP address(s)? I'd like to investigate further.
  11. Glad to hear they are arriving safely! I was only too happy to test a few before mailing them out. Played a game or two of Yopaz as well.
  12. They're here! All CDs will be getting packaged tonight and sent off in tomorrow's mail. Remaining stock has also been updated and is available again for purchase.
  13. Not yet, but when they arrive I should have them all shipped by the next day!
  14. What medium is the original file stored on? I ask because if my theory is correct and the file is stored on CD / CDR and is formatted ISO9660, the resource fork may still be present on the disc but only viewable on MacOS computers. Otherwise you will need to the original HFS/HFS+ disk to obtain the complete file and export a flattened MOV that can be viewed on PCs / other non-Macs. Another possibilty is that the file is actually defective and these are simply the ramblings of an former pre-OSX sysadmin.
  15. Is it possible that this Quicktime file is old enough that it might not be "flattened"? Many years ago, you had to purposefully save .MOV files as "flattened" in order to play them on a PC due to the split resource/data fork "features" of HFS / HFS+. I permanently lost my first digital video creation due to this - burned the output to a CD but did not preserve the Mac-specific FS features, and only stored the data fork. If this is the case, you may be able to read the disc / HDD on an actual Mac and reexport it as flattened, assuming that both forks are present on the media. Not sure if you'd need OS9 or earlier to do so.
  16. Once I have replacements, I will ship to my customers and reopen the remaining stock for sale. Orion, if you want to send them all in one lot, I'd be happy to send replacements to your other US-based orders too, assuming you are OK with that. Would probably save you quite a bit in postage costs.
  17. Nooo! How could this happen! I will sack my shipping department at once! So, having been recently sacked from the Console5 shipping department, I had some extra time to test the remaining copies of Yopaz and they don't seem to work. To rule out a possible issue with the CDR media or original burning process, I created a CD image & reburned at 1x on a different type of CDR with the same result. I will be suspending sales on Yopaz until a fix has been created.
  18. They've landed: Elansar and Yopaz are available for ordering. Thanks for your support, and a big thanks to Orion and the other developers for keeping the Jag going!
  19. Haha, dusty and lonely. Why not adopt a Zool 2 today As soon as they're here I'll be sure to post!
  20. Order placed: April 9, 2013 Acknowledgement email: October 20, 2013 2014's not looking too good, so here's hoping that 2015 will be the year I can pay & take delivery
  21. I had a release-year Game Gear with the same issue. It was always like that from day 1 and took some getting used to. A few years ago I was testing something on it and accidentally ripped the LCD ribbon cable off of the board. I resoldered the ribbon back on, a rather painstaking process, and to my surprise the screen was of completely uniform brightness. So it may not be the case all of the time, but in my experience it was 100% corrected by resoldering the ribbon cable.
  22. A big box of shiny, shrinkwrapped Philia CDs arrived yesterday! For US buyers that want to save a little, they are available here.
