I took a look at that and I don't think it's worth +$100. It seems to me it's modified really "weird". Sure it can play 2600 one button games programmed to it in trackball mode but any 2600 games hacked use two button joystick or a regular two button 7800 game, like Xevious, it's a pretty serious design flaw.
-
Oh, that explain how these graphics hacks get made. I've always wondered how that was done.
-
If anyone wants the graphics to base the 7800 Pauline on, here's the picture of all the tiles. http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2013/03/donkey-kong-pauline-hack/

It does nothing. It seems there to warn the player somethings coming. That is the Garu Zakato Energy Bomber.
-
Kevin, I was wondering, can the title art be modified to say, "Super Xevious"?
-
I got another question. I can you find all the Sol Citadels? I know there in the game because I found them in the arcade and this version. I know (roughly) where the four hidden Rally-X flags are.
-
I've noticed this same thing happens on the 2600 too. EDIT: Did you take those pictures with the flashbulb on?
-
It turns out I goofed about the red. I just played a game of this and there's IS a red color but I was just focused on the bullets. However, I think it's possible to red and blue to the bullets to make them a little less dull looking. Well, don't worry it. I might make some mockups in the meantime.
-
Everything really, I've noticed a lot of objects in Xevious have red colors. The game plays almost like the arcade but the lack of red always bugged me.
-
I got question, is it possible to add the color red? The game seems a bit dull without it.

Does Atari 7800 Flashback controllers work for the 7800 console
Bakasama replied to Vintagebreed's topic in Atari 7800
So can they be modified to work with a 7800? If that's the case, somebody is going to be busy with some modding. -
Impossible Mission (New Player Sprites & Colors)
Bakasama replied to KevinMos3's topic in Atari 7800 Hacks
That reminds me, the original programmer was trying to fix this the whole game and maybe change the graphics. That was some years ago. -
I was wondering what else can be added to the BIOS. I've seen a game can be added but what else?
-
I would welcome a remake of Karateka only if to kill that damn bird countless times over.

According to the posters on the Lynx board, there is an end to the Lynx version of Rampage. Still, doesn't change the fact the 7800 version of Rampage doesn't have an end. It could stand to look a little better tho.
-
I didn't find in stores either but I just ordered it direct from Atari Corp. back in the 80's.
-
I thought game was unfinished but it was complete enough to be playable?
-
I use WinonX, it works with the prosystem with some weird sounds at time but at least I can play the 7800 homebrews. I just use it just because too much trouble just to use WINE for that. You could try using SDLMESS but like it's name it is a mess from user standpoint. Prosystem is suppose to be open source but I've haven't seen anyone attempt to port that Mac OSX

I've tried this on my macbook. I wasn't expecting a trainer but it is fun to see how fast the grunts go without dying.
-
I've played the arcade version on MAME and there doesn't seem to be an end. It seems to loop back to the beginning at some point.
-
You do have a point about Winonx. I've tried several programs with it. The only windows programs I can get to work on that is the Prosystem emulator and flash games in the form exe files. I tried Wineskin but I just don't "get" it. I mean would love to play Torchlight 2 or see if League of Legends playable on my Mac. I just find it hard to the setup. So is the point of this project is to have a disassembly that's usable on Xcode or any windows compiler?
-
You run Prosystem Emulator on you Mac? I use Winonx run that, it saves me the trouble of running Windows at all.
-
Hmm, what he's doing might be useful. I recall that Curt released the source for one 7800 game but it isn't the final version. The source for that game wasn't found and I can't remember which that was.

I am interested to know what Atari hardware this game ran on.

It sounds like a few steps away from "Hey, I bet this would sound great with a POKEY!"
