Sorry about making a big deal about that. I just don't remember seeing that cart before. The game sure but not the cart.
-
Nice, I find it interesting on what kind of cart those pics use.

I've seen some data that makes it possible for Asteroids to have multicolor. You don't modify the ROMs but rather the video hardware. I'm sure it's possible to have Battlezone with multicolor. I know I've seen a program that allows the people to modify the levels but not add new characters.

maybe a programming language on cart for the 7800
Bakasama replied to gambler172's topic in Atari 7800
Speaking as a Mac user, the only 7800 emulators on the Mac I know that can debugger are MacMESS and Mac SDLMESS. MacMESS is pretty outdated but the debugger might be of some use. This has a little more info about Mac SDLMESS. -
You're lucky somebody is making the Harmony Cart 2 for the 7800. It's like CC2 but more features and it's planned to be made with such numbers that the buyer doesn't have to spend hundreds of dollars to get one. I'm glad opcode is still working Donkey Kong Arcade.

Hacking the 7800 sounds to the 2600? That's a rather interesting idea.
-
I'm not to hack it but I did forward a request at this thread. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/158430-rom-hacks-to-support-2-buttons-with-genesis-controllers/

rom hacks to support 2 buttons with genesis controllers
Bakasama replied to RevEng's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
How about this for a hack, a two button version of Dark Chambers. In the 2600 version of Dark Chambers, you use the bombs by hitting the fire button twice quickly. -
Thanks for the reply. Now I got an idea for a Genesis two button hack.
-
I was wondering, does the 2600 version of DC use bombs, and if so how do you use them?
-
Since you like adventure games, may I suggest Cave In? It's a homebrew created by one of the posters here.
-
Now, that's a name I can get behind.
-
I was wondering when somebody was going to make that joke.
-
So are those manuals going to be printed at Kinko's? Joking aside, you put a lot of thought into making this game.
-
Pac-Man Collection: Pokey Edition comes before that. I think it was originally conceived as a pokey cart before the XM was announced.
-
Do you like those games or at least think of them as decent?
-
Hmmm, that gives me an idea...
-
Given the way you type, I can hazard a guess you don't have the money or have to ask for money to buy it.
-
It sounds like you might like Haunted House.
-
Uguuu?! I never thought I'd see that phrase around here. So you're looking for games to try out? Do you have particular genres you like?
-
Maybe the new labels could look like that proto label on Ms. Pac-Man cart. I mean Curt's motif seems to be going for the old style. Some minor changes to the old carts could replace "ATARI 7800 Prosystem" to Pac-Man Primes logo.
-
I'm thinking something similar to "Super Game Cartridge" might work. Perhaps a different design for the labels could work too, like changing the top of the label to something else.
-
I think this has what you're looking for: http://www.macintoshgarden.org/ I put this up because you should at least try the Escape Velocity games. http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/old/ I think you're talking about Glider. The company that published Glider went out of business sometime ago and the creator of that game decided to make it public domain. He put most versions of Glider on a page and it even has the Windows version. The player made Houses are a rather hard to find. http://homepage.mac.com/calhoun/Glider%20PRO.html
-
Do you have any genres you have in mind? I think there are some shareware companies that still sell those kind of games. Unless you're looking for abandonware games.

Pre-Order Page is now up for 7800 Expansion Module
Bakasama replied to Curt Vendel's topic in Atari 7800
So does that mean that source can be modified to work with a stock Maria?
