  1. Oh, I think doing that is a little bit harder than figuring out how to do that.
  2. So does that mean you have a favorite 7800 game yet?

    Superman Hack?

Since we're talking about hacking Superman, I was wondering, is there any way to make Superman flicker less. The game was fine when there wasn't that many objects in the screen but I did find the flicking to be annoying at times.
  4. I know about that too for a long time. I usually see the computer get that bug.
  5. This maybe a bit off topic but is there anyway to change the layout and colors of the playfield?
  6. The Pokey does more than just better sound than the TIA chip, it allow at least the use of a keyboard. The Yamaha sound chip is found in a lot of 80's arcade games but never in any home console.
  7. Well, that depends how you set the controllers. One setup could be like you use the joystick adjust the kicker with your hands, then put the stick down and use your feet to hit the button while holding the paddles in your hands. When you lose a ball, just repeat those steps again. Then again, I do like trying oddball control setups. I don't think making a hack is a waste of time, a lot of us at this point in time just like finding new ways to play our games.
  8. I know it's a little late but I don't think there's need for hack. I remember somebody using a DB 9 splitter with a 7800 on Centipede. It allowed him to use a controller for two player co-op mode. Then he would "merge" the two players in a corner to get double firepower. A player could just use DB 9 splitter that lets the player to hook up two controllers on one port and just use the joystick to launch the ball and the paddles to work the flippers.
  9. I could never kill that bird, it's just impossible. I shocked to find out that in the Commodore 64 version can kill the bird. If somebody wants to do a better version of Karateka, better controls and the ability to kill the bird are must haves.
  10. I did manage to get to Akuma but the damn bird killed me and I have four life to begin with.
  11. I think he did. He was going to work Millipede but the powers that be decided that DK should be done. Still, there are other 7800 title that could've used better sound like Dig Dug or Xevious.
  12. Okay, I can get the logic behind #1. It certain looks better than a simple pass-thru cart and more safe. Although, calling the "Expansion Module" doesn't seem right to me. You might as well call it the "High Score Module".
  13. Does this just have the high score feature or is there room for expansion so users can add a pokey, RAM, etc.
  14. So does that mean we're going to have a Medieval Mayhem where the players lob clowns to kill their opponents?
  15. Not able to use paddles? I do recall that paddles need a pokey to be able to work in 7800 mode. Are you going to keep the splat sound from the 2600 version.
  16. Ninja Olympics? Why not take to the logical extreme and make Gymkata: the Video Game.
  17. It does suck some thief took a demo and ruining the chance for other people to try it out. Maybe the demo carts should have a "Property of AtariAge" or "For Demo use only" on the labels. It may not prevent stealing but it would make a bit easier to mark it as stolen
  18. I was wondering, how well did this module go with the visitors?
  19. I guess we can't call it, "Old Man Kills Stuff With Magic Hands"
  20. Wow, it's looks great so far. So, it's going to borrow a few elements from Rogue? I mean I like Gauntlet and all but I would like to see if game that can look like Gauntlet but plays a bit different from it.
  21. Sure, but acting like a conspiracy nut is fun, in small doses. Still, it might be cool to have a game like Berzerk with these kind of controls. I was wondering, can this work like a trakball?
  22. I think I see the hidden reason for this thread. It would be just odd for Robotron is the only reason for this adaptor.
  23. Nothing to add but I do find it interesting that this didn't have a female code name like a lot of Atari products.
  24. Since you're going to get this game, can you give your opinion on this? After you had enough time to play around with this, of course. I'm leaning towards Diablo 3 at this point but I get this game too.
  25. I thought we would get an ET or a Knight Rider game with this.
