It's coming this month? COOL! So this is the first of three installment of this game?

I think I got it, it's Knight Rider!

7800 Piggyback Expansion Module comes to life!
Bakasama replied to Curt Vendel's topic in Atari 7800
There's hints that some of those being worked on. Some developers just don't want to make any announcements until they feel it's ready for the public. You could check the earlier replies to get an idea what's being worked on. I'm looking forward to what opcode is working on and I expect Groovybee to have something to wow you. -
Ah, Diablo, I always had fun making oddball characters builds. One of my favorites was making a Ranger out of a Paladin.
-
Oh, I guess I confused the CPU with the SD card feature. Since H2 has a spot for a pokey, which is for games that use a pokey, how does suppose interact with Expansion Module?
-
Only the answer to our prayers for people that can't get a CC2. Check this thread for more details: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/115077-chimera-hybrid-game-system/page__st__25__p__1657511#entry1657511 I think it's going to be easier and cheaper to get these than the CC2. I think developers will find this very useful for developing new games. @ Batari Is this what Curt has been hinting at when he mentioned an "external CPU" for the 7800?

rom hacks to support 2 buttons with genesis controllers
Bakasama replied to RevEng's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
I do have an idea for a two button hack, Vanguard. I'm not sure if this is practical but here it is. The idea is button B to shoot left and right and button C to shoot up and down. The controls should be global throughout the game. -
rom hacks to support 2 buttons with genesis controllers
Bakasama replied to RevEng's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Hey, that's useful. It does give me some ideas on how to convert a driving controller a extra button. -
What's the SIO port for? It looks that's something for an another add-on.
-
I was talking about how some of the 2600 carts have a hard time fitting in the 7800 slot or in some cases wouldn't fit at all. I remember the Imagic carts were a bit of problem requiring this mod: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/91521-the-7800-how-to-thread/page__view__findpost__p__1112718

I've been meaning to ask about the cartridge slot for the expansion module. My question might sound a little silly. So the question is, will that slot be designed to take in every 2600 cart ever made? It would be nice if that module fixes that engineering oversight.
-
Uh, I already asked for an extra controller port and that was for the savekey and adding more at this point is a bit too much. I'm not sure if there's room for more ports. If want you extra controller ports, I think it's just better to use a Genesis multitap and have a few games that are programmed to use it. Still, a expansion module for the 2600 does sound like a great idea.

Original Pac-Man Design Sketches, Circa 1979, Surface Online
Bakasama replied to legeek's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Here's what I think the maze might have looked on a Pac-Man machine: -
I would like to hear that too but I don't have a clue where to look.

You mean the 2nd button on a Sega Master System controllers acts the same way as a button C on a Genesis controller? I think I get that 1st button on a Sega Master System controllers is same thing as a button B on a Genesis controller. The reason I brought this up is because of this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/158430-rom-hacks-to-support-2-buttons-with-genesis-controllers/ One of posters a while ago, said that the C button can be made to work on 7800 hacks in the similar way.
-
Since you seem to be into modifying controllers, I got got a question. Is a Sega Master System controller any different from a Sega Genesis controller?
-
Is it be possible to mod a driving controller to add a second button? Still, even I realize not everyone has the skill or the inclination to do the mod.
-
Pac-Man Collection w/ Pokey, I don't think has a cart release yet. Beef Drop, I've read will work with the Expansion Module with Pokey sound, at least the Pokey version. That was originally designed to work with the XBoard add-on. I myself would like to see a B*nQ with Pokey sound.
-
Actually the other two have been mentioned already. Pac-Man Collection with Pokey sound and Beef Drop. There are others that we have yet to find out the names.
-
Umm, a secret?
-
I think I can guess about three of those games. It would be pretty pointless if it didn't have any games to demo on it.
-
I do find that when Panky dies, it's too jarring. It really needs some kind of death animation or something.
-
I thought as much but I was also wondering about adding a high score feature.
-
Schmutzpuppe, have you considered adapting this game to for the 7800 Expansion Module? Curt and the Jedi Council have working on that for some time. It would seem that this game would be idea for the module.
-
Oh yeah there was some other stuff I forgot mention. With a POKEY, the 7800 have paddle games made for it and also can use multi button Genesis controllers. Of course, games have to be programed to use them.
