I don't think there is a Pinball emulator for the Mac. Nor I have heard of anyone work on one..
-
Could this mean we could eventually get Space Duel?

Why can't the 7800 handle a StreetFighter 2 style game?
Bakasama replied to A Sprite's topic in Atari 7800
I don't about Street Fighter II, I do really think that Yier Kung Fu is quite doable on the 7800 however. -
Given the weird crap around the MAME community, I not sure is this something to be happy about. MAME for me has lost alot the fun it used to have.
-
The idea of a cute little girl blasting tanks does sound a little odd but after seeing a bunch of Japanese style video games, I really do think there's a potentially fun game in there somewhere.
-
Was? Great, I thought it would be like a lost prototype like Marble Madness II.

This project looks interesting. Based on the flash animation, the game seems to be about a cute little girl blowing tanks up. Am I guessing correct? About getting help, I suppose if you put enough time into it and this game shows promise, I think you'll get more help.
-
Wait, if there's video of this game, does that mean there or was a working prototype of The Last Starfighter?

*AHEM*

Yeah, I find it funny that the company, Data East, that owns the copyright to Burgertime doesn't even exist anymore. It died out sometime in the late 90's.

I would venture to think it's South Korea, the North is very backward compared to the south and the north at the time only traded with China.

How would I go about making 7800 screenshot mockups?
Bakasama replied to ApolloBoy's topic in Atari 7800
Here's a Frenzy mockup screenshot I did some years ago. It's based on the demo from Frenzy and this is what I THINK it might look like if someone programmed it. -
Same here. I also like Joel's #3 entry, though it seems to need something else. I think it needs the main character as part of the artwork.

Actually you CAN use his screenshot but only to get the exact dimensions of a typical 7800 screen size. A canvas you can use if you will. -
Dragnerok X, I was wondering if you're going to put some tank pong variants in this cart. I thinking putting some invisible mines or something to that effect would make some of these mazes "interesting". heh heh
-
I think you're talking about the "crococart"
-
Well, there's other ways to get those huge files, such as having a friend with cable or DSL downloading and burn those file onto CD or DVD.

Yeah I do remember Tempest, Asteroids, and other Atari vector games not working due to a missing ROM. What kills me is that it's easier for me to find a copy of KOF 2003 or Metal Slug 5 than to find the updated Atari ROMs.
-
It may not be practical in cart form but I suppose it could be done as a pass thru cart or add on board.

Why not use "Maid 'n Action"? It uses maid and action. It also sounds like "Maiden Action", "Maid in Action", and "Maid and Action"
-
I see you kept the bounce. That gives a vague idea what the character might look like on the label and box art.
-
Oops, I meant FAKE screenshot. I'm not a programmer but I'm pretty good at figuring what a game might look like on the 7800.

I've thought of a Berzerkish game game for the 7800. In terms of graphics, Frenzy is very much doable but the sound might pose a problem. I've always favored Frenzy over Berzerk simply because the mazes had more variety and you can do more than just blow up robots. Some mazes you could stop all the the robots by shooting the electric globes, some others there was a machines that kept making new robots to annoy you. There was a even mazes where you can't shoot the walls. I made screenshot of Frenzy as it might look like on the 7800 but I don't know where that went.

So why no more new FB2's ?
Bakasama replied to policelimit's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I'd definitely buy one of those! He could mean the ability to upload ROMs with a UBS cable or a version with even more games preloaded. -
Well I checked the arcade ROM with MacMAME. The bullets are four colors and that's including the mask. If the bullets' colors can be changed, I'll submit some mockups. I'll say the bullets on the 7800 Xevious kind of bothered me because they looked "flat" to me.
