Well, I suppose we'll find out when Tempest gets a copy of those protos.

Lucky for you I made this some years ago and redone with new label line Just a nitpick, why in the hell are the Nazgul wearing white?! Are their black cloaks in the wash?

It shouldn't be too hard for Easter Bunny Kaboom. Well my idea was to have multicolored eggs or bombs but I like the idea of exploding bunnies better.

I never really figured how to do it myself but I usually got the replay by doing a watermelon level and just throwing the food anywhere those chefs were. I just waited until the ice cream almost melted and finished the level. That's how I got the replay but I rarely got a replay on the other levels. It seems to me you could only do a replay once every five levels.

I sense another 7800 hack in the future.

Most incredible FB2 Mod

The guy goes that extra step by making light up cartriage cases. -
Another I remember about 7800 Karateka is that you CAN'T kill that punk ass bird but can in the other versions.

A game that revolves around poo? Uh, you would be suprised there's a market for that kind of game. I know a game like that would sale pretty well in Japan and Korea. Checking that hack with poo, I think there's alot 2600 games can be worked around poo.

Need Help In Making Atari Tiny Toon.

I got a suggestion. If you use an 2600 emulator and if that emulator has the ability to take screenshots. You can just take screenshot of a game, like Combat. You can just use that screenshot as a canvas to make your mockup shots. -
I bet he has a Neo Geo somewhere in there. If he has the Apple/Bandai Pippin I would be very impressed.

I use MacMESS simply I don't have any other choice. I recall that MESS doesn't do colors accurately but the games work otherwise. I know the 7800 uses a BIOS file, so you may want to find that for the emulator you want to use.

Well, I'm going to work hard over the next year or two to remedy that imbalance ... ... but I think the 7800's missing authentication key was a major barrier to entry for many years, as was the relative lack of documentation (at least compared to the 2600). Now that the authentication issue has been resolved and Atari/GCC's internal documentation has been made public, we're finally beginning to see some exciting 7800 projects emerge (Beef Drop, Frogger, etc.) You're working on some homebrew projects for the 7800? I love to see what you got planned. Given the games GCC made for the 7800, I find it a little odd that they never made Missile Command. I suppose it's a "been there, done that " kind of project. I do think we're going to see more hacks before we see more homebrews simply because the homebrewers are still learning how to program for it.

It's just amazing how just making a little change on those ghost monsters just make the game look a lot better.

I think he's talking about the size of a game level in pixels. -
I believe that is the fundamental flaw in your gamemaking philosophy. You have not clearly stated how the game plays nor provided any mock ups to help sell your idea. Your biggest selling point is making a quick buck from "this crappy game" and getting a great grade for your class? Get out, you uncultured heathen!

updating Midnight Magic for the 2600
Bakasama replied to jpfalcon2003's topic in Homebrew Discussion
If you want the nudge feature, you might as well add the tilt feature. If you're going to add that without the tilt, it's going to make the game a bit too easy. -

I have hit million once, the game flashes alot more when you hit million. It's very different from extra ball. It is very hard to get there but it's possible. Getting there is mainly how lucky one is. I think I rather have a hack that changes the playfield. -
What is a kanji? 1018806[/snapback] They're Chinese characters used in the Japanese writing system.

Eh, it looks like very KAWAII game. Many Japanese games tend to have huge scoops of cute in many games. I believe those games are generally marketed towards little kids or girls. On the other hand I think you might be suprised if grown women like that game. The game seems to remind me of Yoshi's World. Like the other guy said, if you're a grown man. I think most ppl would think you're buying for your kid or such not for yourself.

Where's the kanji? That just makes it harder to translate. The only parts I get are "ninjakun"=Mr. Ninja. Majou might mean Demon woman.
-
I don't think such a thing exists. I've seen Tempest, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Neo Geo, and Bubble Bobble hacks. I don't think anyone has even thought about doing that kind of hack.

No new Atari Flashbacks?

This is just great, I've been waiting for the rev Cs to come out and this happens. I guess I gotta go to the store and get the rev Bs before the hammer falls. -
Arcade game need to be 2600,5200,7800 part 2
Bakasama replied to 8th lutz's topic in Homebrew Discussion
If that uses a Pokey, I'm sold. I can't imagine Bubble Bobble without the music. -
You think Capcom should've made Guile's bugged moves official?! Hell, they did use some moves from the hacked bootlegs of SFII:CE.

I do remember seeing the fake pic. I think it was shotokan character with a stereotypical kung-fu master head. Even today, there are some who still believe there's a Sheng Long in Street Fighter. As I said, Ryuu's master is Gouken. Gouken's brother is Gouki (Akuma). The master who taught those brothers was Goutetsu.
