  2. Tried what on "vintage wood grain"? And what's a vintage wood grain? Clarity would help us help you here.

I am not sure what kind it was, but my friends dad had a really old woodgrain TV. If it helps, it says XL-100 on the front. And you would pull the volume button out to turn it on.

  3. That looks very much to me like your TV isn't locking onto the signal from the Atari. In other words, if you used an older CRT with an analog tuner, I doubt you'd have a problem.

I tried it on a vintage woodgrain at my friends house, it still did it.

  4.

He is 13 years old and therefore likely doesn't have the funds to buy doubles of things. Besides, now that he has an Atari any extra money he gets would have to go towards spoiling all his new girlfriends.

Thirteen? Excellent! Congratulations on your first Atari AskewTV. It warms my heart when someone your age discovers Atari. May it work, trouble free for many years to come. :)

    Thanks! ;)

  5. This may be normal, but sometimes I start a game up it looks like it has problems connecting to my TV, and when I turn it off it does a static sound for a second. This time is wasn't as long but sometimes it can do it for 5 to 10 seconds. I use a male (phono) to female (coaxial) adapter and a coaxial cable.

  6. Also, can you help me with one other thing? This may be normal, but sometimes I start a game up it looks like it has problems connecting to my TV, and when I turn it off it does a static sound for a second.

EDIT: I made a video of it:

sometimes it does it for longer periods of times like 5-10 seconds.

  7.

Well you'll find a thread in the TI forums of me claiming I had two TI-99/4A and neither of them had working joystick ports... ;-)

So what do you have as a permanent solution for the cable?

I have a male (phone) to female (coaxial) adapter and a coaxial cable.

  8. Hey, I was looking to get more into the community! So I decided to make this post where you can post your game hischores w/ pics! (Pictures are optional)! They can either be on Stella or an Atari 2600. I prefer the 2600 though as they are harder in my opinion!

  9. If you've already adjusted the color pot on your 2600, you might have a bad RF modulator, bad solder connections to the modulator, or some other electrical fault in the machine. As Thomas says, photos of the screen might help diagnose the issue more precisely.

Okay, I will take a picture as soon as I can get my hands on a phone charger.

  10. Hey I am having problems with the color on my Atari 2600. On pitfall everything looks green, and on some other games it just doesn't look anything like stella. Is it because I used a male (phono) to female (coaxial) piece? I already tried adjusting the color by opening my Atari.
