Hello, I was wondering if anyone could put a missile in my game fired from the enemy and the player in four directions? If so please reply if you are interested and I will PM you the source!
-
I usually play them on an emulator before I buy them so I know if the game is any good or not! If I enjoy the game I then go scavenge trade it and eBay for my own cartridge to play on the original hardware!

Tried what on "vintage wood grain"? And what's a vintage wood grain? Clarity would help us help you here.
I am not sure what kind it was, but my friends dad had a really old woodgrain TV. If it helps, it says XL-100 on the front. And you would pull the volume button out to turn it on.
-
That looks very much to me like your TV isn't locking onto the signal from the Atari. In other words, if you used an older CRT with an analog tuner, I doubt you'd have a problem.
I tried it on a vintage woodgrain at my friends house, it still did it.

He is 13 years old and therefore likely doesn't have the funds to buy doubles of things. Besides, now that he has an Atari any extra money he gets would have to go towards spoiling all his new girlfriends.
Thirteen? Excellent! Congratulations on your first Atari AskewTV. It warms my heart when someone your age discovers Atari. May it work, trouble free for many years to come.

Thanks!

You see the little "Like This" button in the lower-right of every post? Just click that instead the next time you feel the urge to do that.
Oh! I never noticed that!

Ohh..
Oh! I feel dumb now! For some reason I was thinking of the cartridge!

Did you adjust the color inside the VCS?
What do you mean by that? I opened up my console and adjusted the color.
-
Hey I was wondering if it was possible to get my Atari 2600 to have the same colors as Stella. I use an Orion TV (Not sure what model), I have tried adjusting the colors and that didn't work. Should an Atari on a TV even look like Stella?

Video:
It didn't appear for me so I am not sure if it was posted in the first post.

This may be normal, but sometimes I start a game up it looks like it has problems connecting to my TV, and when I turn it off it does a static sound for a second. This time is wasn't as long but sometimes it can do it for 5 to 10 seconds. I use a male (phono) to female (coaxial) adapter and a coaxial cable.

Also, can you help me with one other thing? This may be normal, but sometimes I start a game up it looks like it has problems connecting to my TV, and when I turn it off it does a static sound for a second.
EDIT: I made a video of it:
sometimes it does it for longer periods of times like 5-10 seconds. -
Because emulation is not legal. And not the same as real hardware and joystics.
True!

-
Well you'll find a thread in the TI forums of me claiming I had two TI-99/4A and neither of them had working joystick ports...

So what do you have as a permanent solution for the cable?
I have a male (phone) to female (coaxial) adapter and a coaxial cable.

Hey, I was looking to get more into the community! So I decided to make this post where you can post your game hischores w/ pics! (Pictures are optional)! They can either be on Stella or an Atari 2600. I prefer the 2600 though as they are harder in my opinion!

Hey, I was wondering how long an Atari 2600 will stay at the current prices. (between $30-70). Incase mine breaks I would like to one day buy a new one at the same price.
-
If you've already adjusted the color pot on your 2600, you might have a bad RF modulator, bad solder connections to the modulator, or some other electrical fault in the machine. As Thomas says, photos of the screen might help diagnose the issue more precisely.
Okay, I will take a picture as soon as I can get my hands on a phone charger.

Hey I am having problems with the color on my Atari 2600. On pitfall everything looks green, and on some other games it just doesn't look anything like stella. Is it because I used a male (phono) to female (coaxial) piece? I already tried adjusting the color by opening my Atari.
Model: 2600A
-
I go it, that was the problem! I feel dumb now.
And you've double checked that the VCS is set to the same channel as on the TV
-
Hey guys! I got it working! It was my TV! It wouldnt let me switch out the channels. I also had to tape down my coaxial cable to the metal thing near the cartridge slot!
-
Tr
Don't you have a spare cable? Like a composite cable that you could use?
Tried, now it says no signal. I may try another one. If I cant do it I will get a refund.

I opened it, unplugged the RF cabel, plugged my coaxial in with the piece. now it just wont work.
