  1. Fair enough. I’ll play around and if I break it, I’ll set it up again. That’s part of the fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I often use “sudo apt-get update” and “sudo apt-get upgrade” on other Linux systems to keep them up to date and minimize security risks. It is a good idea to do that on the TIPI? Or is it just adding unnecessary risk of breaking something? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. That was fast! I just updated my TIPI and tried again. Used both the root folder and a sub folder. Was able to create and edit a basic program and save it to TIPI from the web interface. I think you fixed it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I think I'm getting the same thing with TIPI v1.51. Can edit a file, but once I hit save and exit, i get a screen full of error messages similar to above. Doesn't matter what directory i start in. I see that /// in the filename.
  6. I can’t say I use it very often, but I have been using the version on your website. I understand the desire to get rid of security risks, but please don’t let the concept die. And thanks for making these cool tools. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Okay, I've tried out a few games and have decided on the new game of the month. For April 2020 - in the spirit of the world's current challenge, I have selected a virus beating game called Tex Turbo and the Big Bug Battles (suggested by ti99iuc and created by marc.hull). I played it once and it is quite good. The link to the file is here. I found a link to the development thread for this game here: And I believe this must be Marc's site describing the game here.
  8. Thank you atrax. The lesson learned is TI99Dir is your friend. Appreciate the help. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Hi guys, I know this is a basic question and I should know this already. But I need help. I'm trying to pick a new game of the month. I'm trying to broaden my horizons and explore other games. I find that I'm not as good as I thought I was at playing games that need the Editor/Assembler cartridge. One I am considering is called "Virus Attack" (timely title). Go Here: http://tigameshelf.net/asm.htm search that page for the game and download the TIFILES format "vir-arc.bin" How do I run this file? I tried using Classic 99 with EA cartridge. I copied over the "vir-arc.bin" to my DSK2 directory for classic 99. then in EA, I use option 5 and give it the name "DSK2.VIRUS1" and i get I/O Error Code 7. If i try DSK2.VIR-ARC I get the same I/O Error Code 7. If I rename the vir-arc.bin file in Windows to vir-arc (removing the .bin) I get the same I/O Error code 7 when I try to run "DSK2.VIRUS1" error code 2 when I try to run "DSK2.VIR-ARC". Any help would be much appreciated.
  10. There really is a Burger Builder? wow. I am considering a few games. hope to pick one today. If anyone has an idea, please PM me.
  11. Game in progress at 404050. Cartridge on real iron. Taking advantage of pause. Good thing I took a picture. System crashed to F18 screen when I tried to resume. Not sure if I’ll try to beat that score... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Oh the music! Made me avoid this one... but since I’m stuck at home... cartridge version on real iron. I also played the disk version. Much easier. Too easy. Thanks for the cool videos, Pixel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I just played my purple label version. Same thing. I had never noticed either!
  14. Here is another issue/feature/bug. When closing a box where there is just one space between two other existing boxes, the player get stuck and cannot close the box. a second or two later, the player dies. Hard to describe, so I attached a screen shot. I have tried to close the box by drawing a line in row 3 between boxes that are bordered by lines in row 2 and 4. very easy to recreate. let me know if you have questions. also let me know if you don't want more feedback.
  15. I can reproduce the issue by continuing to move in one direction to finish the box as well. I don't think it is just when retracting right before the area is filled.
