Hello everybody, As promised and because we don't want to see people buy Maria for skyrocketing prices, we officaly open the preorder for the reprint of Maria - Small Box version. You can check it here : Maria reprint We tried to divide the price AND to offer a quality edition. People who want a physical edition, with box and manual, without spending a fortune will be happy (perhaps ? ^^). There is a gift for people who'll have the 2 versions of Maria (but you'll have to check the Small Box postcard ) Regarding the Flash rom, we are checking how to do that and we'll give you new informations later if we can. This version is not limited, but we need to sell it through preorders as it's difficult for us to publish things in low quantities. Regarding the tracking, as we experienced problems with the mail of some customers with the Big Box edition of Maria, this time we'll send you the tracking by mail and we'll publish a list on this forum and on the product page of the reprint. With this list (anonymous), you'll not have problem anymore ^^. Can I ask you to buy Ratillery, a DOS game, in the same time ? Thank you everybody for your feedback, it's very appreciated. We'll sell the new "cheap" version as soon as possible, we are now dealing with its components. Regarding the bugs/glitches, we are weighing the pros and cons as the first buyers would have an "inferior" version. The final idea is to allow everybody to have it's boxed version.

We are not against ROM but to be honest we are old-and-stupid-boxed-versions-lovers 😉 But we'll consider these rom versions

Now we are done with shipping let's talk about a new version of Maria. We've received a few emails from people who want to buy the game but we have a problem: the standard version of Maria is limited to 92 copies! We'll not produce any new copy as it's important for us to respect all the gamers who trusted us but we want to allow everybody to buy the game. Here is a solution we want to offer but we need your feedback! Please comment and tell us what you think about it as first-time buyer or "newcomers" Thanks. -The new version will not be limited. We will offer a "budget edition" but of quality, even if very simple. -the game will come in a 16x11x2CM box. -The box will not be printed, the front and back will be printed on a high-quality sticker. -the illustration of the front will be different from the standard edition. -The cart will come with a new label. -We will replace the manual by a series of small illustrated cards. -The making-of will remain exclusive to the standard version. -In the box, we'll put foams to wedge the content. All these specificities will allow us to publish the game for 25€ ►less than 28US$. LET'S US BE VERY CLEAR ABOUT THIS VERSION: We'll not publish this kind of reprints each time. If we can offer this here, it's only because we've sold enough copies of the standard version. We have to thanks the first buyers so please believe us when we say your feedback is important for us!

The limited version is sold out. Perhpas , PLEASE NOTE THE "PERHAPS", we will sell a few team-copies to avoid the speculation. We are also discussing with the author about a simplified and cheaper version, to allow everybody to play the game. We'll make an announce later this month about that and we'll ask the first buyers their opinion too.

Interesting topic and interesting answers! As you perhaps know, we published Maria. If we publish games on Colecovision, Intellivision, etc, it's not for the money. I think a lot of people do better business than US with for example SNES games. If I say that, it's because from this consideration you can understand some people don't write/make/publish things for money, but to follow a goal. For example, Côté Gamers want to keep these old hardwares alive. Even if it's only for 20 players ^^. Our first goal is to pay tribute to these hardwares. Of course, our 2nd goal is to please the community and it's why we try to publish quality editions. This in mind, I think we'll always find collectors and nostalgics and as long as they will exist games will be published. The real question is how many buyers do we need to publish a game? The answer is not obvious! For example, when we publish things, we sometimes have a deficit. To balance our budget we use the incomes generated by other publications. As long as some people or companies will act by passion, we can hope to see new games on the market. In the end, the heart of the problem is to find people motivated enough (from example programmers) to work for something else than pure profit. Of course, it can be more and more difficult to find if people interested in what you try to do are fewer. In that sense, the amico can be a danger.

Hello Soulbuster. Your help is appreciated! In fact, we made some tests about the shipping. The test consists of 3 boxes. The first one contains only the game, packed in foam. The second one contains the game in foam + various fillers. The last one contains the game + foam and the filler is polystyrene. We then literally play football with these boxes ^^. With polystyrene, the box resists to damages but the inner box is pressed and its corners are damaged. With various fillers, we have a better inner box and the package is not very crashed but the weight adds to shipping fees. With the game alone in foam and an empty space in the package, it seems that even if the game travels everywhere in the cardboard box, the foam perfectly protects it. But we are still working on something not too heavy and with good protection for the next time! Again thanks for your help, this kind of comments give us a clear vision of what we can improove!
