  1. i just played through smb for the gba the first time, and now that i've beaten it every time i turn on the game to play again i can only play it on the harder "second time around" setting. there must be some way to play it the original way again, can anyone tell me whats going on?, am i overlooking something?
  2. i might be interested in the original altered beast pack-in box, are you looking to sell these?
  3. Heh, I've been looking for a nice Genny box... what version is it? I did not know it came in different versions? BTW, I have several loose ones as well,, There are probably quite a few editions. Golden axe, Sonic, Generation 2 and 3??? Maybe more??? don't think there's a system that had more variations. the original had altered beast as a pack in.
  4. anyone have an extra turbo grafx 16 controller they are looking to sell?
  5. hmmm... are there any adapters to play this on a us 32x? and is this a territory lock out? if so, in the genesis or the 32x?
  6. anyone know of any classic video gaming tournaments that have been or are being held anywhere? or maybe a video game world record list that is still in effect? i remember hearing of all the sanctioned tournaments held from the asteroids days on up to the famous nintendo world championships, but i haven't heard of any tournaments out there now that focus on the classic 8-16bit games, the ones out there now seem to all be for current systems. seems as though there would be classic tounaments held out there somewhere, any one know of any?
  7. it's to be a new game in the zelda line, but it seems a bit half hearted to hire the capcom team out to design it. could it possibly be cheaper that way?, or maybe, do they feel it's not important enough to keep it in the nintendo name? this along with mario is the mother of all flagship series for all systems. doesn't get any bigger. maybe they're just making too much money marketing the systems to even bother putting resources behind their flagships, but if thats the case i can see interest dropping off quickly in thier namesake if this sort of approach continues.
  8. anyone know when the new zelda game for gba is supposed to be released? and have any screenshots of it been released yet?
  9. lets not forget rad racer! and mike tyson's punchout although i suppose it would have to be the "mister dream" punchout, dragon warrior would be great as well. and zelda II would be a must have. anyone know when the nintendo classics will be released?
  10. i eagerly await this one as well, a "must have" on my list
  11. it's a game that was being deveoloped by tnt games, however as far as i know no one had suspeced its existence prioir to it being found here's a screenshot and you can find the large screenshots here: http://www.atariage.com/common/image.html?...gInAction_1.jpg http://www.atariage.com/common/image.html?...gInAction_2.jpg http://www.atariage.com/common/image.html?...gInAction_3.jpg
  12. hmm... maybe you could inquire about an "official indorsement" that would be great
  13. hmmm... i've thought about this one myself, it is true that the prices will gradually increase, however i think the main reason the genesis systems and games are so dirt cheap is because the shear number of these systems and games that were produced is astronomical, probably more so than any other system out there, so i wouldn't expect any big rise in the value.
  14. ok here's the latest info on chuck norris: missing in action for the 7800 as communicated to me by john hardie himself as of today for those who were interested: Hi Joshua, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm pretty bad with email sometimes. As to Missing in Action, we do hope to eventually release it, although we have run into difficulties getting it to run reliably on an actual cartridge board. Actually, your message has inspired me to revisit the situation and see if it's something that can be accomplished soon. When it does get released, it will first be offered for sale to the attendees at our annual Classic Gaming Expo show (http://www.cgexpo.com). After that, we will make any remaining copies available on our web-site. You can see some of our previous releases if you click on the merchandise button on the left. Hope that answers your questions. Best wishes and hope to see you at the show. John
  15. hmm... anyone heard any info about flashback being in the works for the gba?
  16. anyone know where i can find a CURRENT list of ALL the games released fro the gba? and maybe a site listing games slated for the gba? i'm trying to find out if out of this world or flashback have been released or are planned for release on the gba. i've noticed that gamefaq.com has flashback listed under the gba category as a "known published" game, however i haven't ran across any more information on this game for gba anywhere.
  17. no kiddie nes stuff here, you're on the PRO system continues aren't an option. reverse kicks definetly should be used often in this version, and you can put the computer into a zombie like mode by holding up at the top of the screen and your opponet will walk towards you but not make an attempt to strike you, at which point you can strike them with a regular jump kick and continue holding up to keep them in the zombie mode, ocassionaly they will cease to move in this mode and all you have to do is tap up on the joypad and they will fall back "under the spell" and continue the pattern of mindlessly moving toward you. however this technique uses up quite a bit of time so you should only use it on bosses.
  18. you can use a pocket programmer to burn the eproms for the lynx, these can be found at http://xtronics.com
  19. anyone have a box and manual for flashback for the jaguar they'd like to sell?
  20. i saw one up on ebay with the box. and i think lik-sang.com had one new for 24.99 listed but the shipping might be higher as i think they are located in japan. there was one up on half.com as well if you just want the game alone for $11 i think
  21. i agree completely which is why i was a little dissapointed with the sequel's(out of this world2: heart of the alien) breifness.
  22. no, actually flashback wasn't a sequel to out of this world, the two games play similarly because they were both developed by delphine software, but they have no connection whatsoever in the storylines. i think Eric Chahi developed or played a part in developing both of the games.
