  1. I ended up just buying a a1000 jyeboard with 1 missing key. Anyone know who sells repro ones or extras?
  2. Hello everyone, helping a friend to sell this. Located in Southeast Michigan so you could pick up if you prefer, but shipping is also available and will be no problem at all. For sale is a SX-64. The main computer SEEMS to be working. I used a dead test cartridge on it and heard the 3 SID voices. Screen is good. The compartment door that houses the volume knobs etc does have a broken clip on it. The main problem is the keyboard. Most keys did not register. Keyboard itself is in great shape, bezel on it looks very clean, no broken clips, we very carefully took it apart to see if there was a lose cable or something and mainly clear out any dust. I suspect a myler keyboard is being used here and is the problem. Keyboard cable is in tact, has slight chipping on one corner. I could not test the disk drive but it does the usual when powering on the computer, no continuous running light/drive noises. First 500$ (absolute lowest) + plus shipping takes it. Let me know me what you would like to buy, bezel, keyboard cable, separate keys, etc. The only thing he wants to really sell as a whole would be the SX computer module itself since it seems to work fine.
  3. Did a trade with Keir for over 100$ worth of stuff, everything arrived as fast as possible and in fantastic condition, don't hesitate to trade with him:).
  4. Hi everyone, looking to trade the games below for any console/computer stuff up until about N64. Let me know what you have to trade and I'm sure we can work something out, these are mostly double and in some cases I have a bunch of the same thing. For some of the Ti-99 stuff like Adventure, if you need me to try to make a corresponding tape/disk, I can try to make them as I have a copy machine for cassette tapes.
  5. Hello all. Just looking for the keyboard. With or without cable is fine. I'm willing to pay the going rate or potentially trade as well.
  6. Actually, from looking up the Epson SD-600 number, which I somehow didn't see the first time, I assumed the bottom of the drive would state the model, this looks to be a 1.2MB drive? I think it's supposed to not be a good idea to use those with a PEB no?
  7. Hello, sorry I think I forgot to upload 1 picture. Can you help me determine how I can know if the drive is a 300 RPM DSDD Drive?
  8. Hello All, I just bought an Amiga 1000 for a pretty good price. It came with everything except the keyboard. I know there are adapters to use an A2000 keyboard for example, but I don't have one of those either ATM, just an A500. Are there any alternatives out there or DIY keyboards in 2024 by any chance? I do have the original keyboard cable btw, not sure if that helps or anything but maybe it will? On a side note, the power switch seems to be broken as the computer is stuck in the "On" position and moving the switch, which seems kind of loose and not snappy. Are there any replacements for that too? Thank you everyone!
  9. Hello All, I just bought this TI-99 disk drive that was sold as non-working to me. From what the previous owner tells me, they replaced the fuse to get it to turn on again, and tried to replace the original disk drive mechanism with a white one seen in the pictures. what I want to know is would it be safe to just go ahead and plug it into the back of the disk drive card in the PEB or should I maybe do something else? What I am really interested in is that I have a 2nd PEB whose disk drive card works but the floppy drive does not at all. Can the second white drive be used as a TI-99 disk drive? If not I'd like to at least try to use the black drive in the PEB and maybe fix the external drive at a later date. Also the black drive is set to "2" on the casing, does it need to be set to something else if I were to try to use it in the PEB? Any input would be appreciated :).
  10. Traded with MacRorie, everything went super smoothly! Thanks again!
  11. Hi Dirtman. No never did. I still have it tho just in case.
  12. Hello everyone, I have the chance to get these games for 140, not sure if its such a good deal or not. In 10 years of collecting i've seen maybe 2 tandy game cartridges. I just got a computer with a small handful and really just want these to play. I figure they are worth atleast 10$ for the fact that you never see them in game store, and shipping alone on eBay for anything is 5$. I dont see anything too rare, I think the diagnostic cart might be worth like 40? and Poltergesit is kind of uncommon? but I appreciate any input!
  13. If its just the laser that is weak, which it sounds like it is based on the fact that sometimes "time" needs to pass, it is actually very easy to do, just watch some youtube videos. My 15 year old cousin without much knowledge or understanding of the laser fixed 3 gamecubes with weak lasers and I'm 100% sure he went way too much on the first attempt but nothing really happened to the laser. I would just go for it, it only takes a few minutes once the gamecube is dissasembled.
  14. Yes, that seems to be very true. Well at least the disk controller card works which can be a huge PIA to get. I'll probably just end up parting this PEB out unless I can find a disk drive for cheap.
  15. Hi horizon. I believe you are very right. So I took the broken pebs disk controller card and put it in my working one and it worked perfectly. The old drive is super beat up. I will attempt to look at it but it had like zero movement after messing with it a little bit. How much does a replacement 5.25 inch floppy normally go for by chance?
  16. Hello guys, I got another cheap PEB, mostly because it came with some extra cards I didn't already have. All the cards seem to work, but the Disk Drive does not move at all. I used a disk manager II cartridge to try and initialize a disk. The disk controller card lights up and sends signals to the disk drive because I can see the red light on it turn on as well, but this thing doesn't move an inch in any direction. Sometimes the disk drive doesn't light up at all (maybe 25% of the time), but most of the time it does? The drive is in very bad condition physically and I also suspect that the disk drive cable is not the original one as it is not notched like an original cable. What could be the cause of the drive malfunctioning? I do have another PEB that fully works but I'd rather not switch out cards/cables and mess something up unless there is no real danger in doing so. I bought this for the extra optional cards I didn't already have so I don't really care if it ends up working or not/just part out the duplicate cards. But if there is a chance it's something pretty simple/easy to fix I wouldn't mind. Here are some pictures I took... BTW this is how the cards came plugged in.
  17. Nevermind I was able to finally load tunnels of doom and copy it to disk woo
  18. Success!! Unfortunately my tunnels of doom tape seems to be bad. But ghost town sure worked. Saved a quick game and everything on disc. Are there any other cool tricks you can do on any other cartridges by any chance?
  19. Oh I see, so this is what I need to do. I need to use the Tunnels of Doom cartridge in the slot. Then connect the PEB and cassette deck. Turn on tunnels of doom, load the tunnels of doom tape/whatever tape I want to save to disk, then press, function 9 etc etc and that should save program on tape to the disk, therefore next time I want to play tunnels of doom, I can boot it from disk instead of tape. Is that correct?
  20. Yeah I got tunnels of doom on cassette tape and have the required cartridge as well. That is one I'm really hoping to get copied to disc if possible as well just to preserve the original.
  21. Hey everyone just wanted to provide an update incase someone runs into the same problem in the future. So, replacing the 2 DSR chips seems to have solved the problem. I was able to get the machine to stop hanging, boot into disk manager 2, initialize a disk and successfully write and then read from it. Found a few Ti-99 disks in an old commodore disk box and those booted as well! My next question is, I have no idea really how to do anything in terms of getting software onto disk. When I bought the computer, it came with a lot of tapes, including some Scott Adams Adventure games. I was able to verify that the tapes work as I was able to get into the games using the Adventure cart. How can I copy those tapes to the disk? Is that possible or are they copy protected? I tried looking online but couldn't seem to find anything.
