Did you mention in the show that the Wizard Of Wor binary you were playing had been posted?  Can you direct

    me to the link?

BTW James, my AtariVox+ had the same behavior as yours... my friend and I found out it was because of the PIC

chip they added for the Vectrex support. we removed the chip (with no other changes) and the AtariVox+ works fine

with all the AV games I have tested it with for several months now... but then you do not have the Vectrex support

which I know you will want since you have the system. It's good to hear they are working on it again.

The build played in the show has not been released publicly. The initial release is the only public ROM available.

According to everything I have read there are only 2 Vox games that the Vox+ has issues with.

Wizard of Wor Arcade and 7800 Dungeon Stalker? Have you tested these two games with the PIC Chip removed?

That is the real test I believe. No other Vox games are known to have issues other than these two?

  2. Al has stated that all of the Pac-Man games 2600 & 7800 will be back in the store after PRGE which is October 18-20 this year. So probably a month after that they should be back plus the new games that debuted at PRGE.

In the mean time I have a CIB version available for $500.00. ;) J/K - Unless you REALLY want it.

  3. Yes, I pointed this out during the ZPH Boulder Dash episode when they were talking about bucket list homebrews that people might have missed. I don’t have this, but it’s also not my thing. I have no nostalgia for Super Mario Bros so I am not willing to drop $300 on something like this. But I am curious what the ceiling is on this thing also.

    Excellent CIB!  I have #56.

I am on the tail end. #92.  And I somehow got really lucky and paid $8 less than it retailed for. All the others I missed before this one came around went for around $100.

Great show everyone.  Just caught the re-run on Twitch.  Would have loved to catch this one during the livestream, but I work took precedence.

@groundtrooper My “grails” were Boulder Dash and Thrust+ Combat Pack too.

@johnnywc @ZeroPage Homebrew Not trying to rush anything, but I can’t wait to see Lunar Lander on ZPH.

And Ladybug limited edition. But I also checked that one off in 2018.

  6. I have been on a semi-frenzy the past week and I received the 8% off. I don’t think I have anything on my watch list that I worth pulling the trigger on. I will reassess that tomorrow.

Well, first off not all 7800 even have the expansion interface. But even if they had, it's not a very capable general I/O widget, I don't think. It was meant to allow control of a laserdisc player so it has composite and mono audio input lines, and some control lines for commanding the laserdisc mechanism. I don't think it's a real general purpose interface like the cartridge port.

    That said ...

And it that (^^^) is the same thing that was teased by someone with a short Youtube video a few months ago, I'm 100% ready for it. :)

Great, now I will be searching YouTube looking for clues. 🙄😉

  8. Yes, I went through my doubles and cleaned out some local shops with prices that allowed for a decent ROI for what Al was giving in credit.

I pretty much paid nothing for my 2018 new releases after PRGE last year. The problem is I "cleaned them out" last year.

I don't think I will be able to do it this year. There's just not my much out there at the prices I would need for it to not be an upside down proposition.

But I will start looking harder. The problem is most shops here look up prices on the fly so it is usually futile to get something for a dollar. :(

  9. OK he has had it listed twice with a BIN that is lower than the highest bids before they got pulled down.

I am wondering if there wasn't some shill bidding going on. My thought was if he is listing it for a lower BIN he is just hoping someone will pull the trigger on it and he can get his money and move on since he knows that there is one group that knows he is a scammer.

  10. So if this thing keeps going and doesn't get pulled by ebay, what is the poor winner gonna get since it appears there are at least 2 people that think this is legit?

A copy of Mogul Maniac or some US Games title like EggoMania?

I mean the seller is not showing any live screen shots, just claims that it's Eli's Ladder.

    you better not,

Just wait until a noob who doesn't even know that there are Atari Age forums posts your listing on the AA FB Group page calling you out a Bat 💩 Crazy.

Trust me, it's gonna happen. I happens every other week with the $90 Extra Terrestrials cart.
