***EDIT*** Sorry this was being replied to before I saw your other reply. I am not trying to RUB anything in. Just pointing out that it seems to be spelled out
That must be a joke....why on earth should i buy this thing without the casing? This option really should be more clear on the website...
The picture above seems to spell it out very clear.
It states that it is now sold as a Circuit Board and that you need to pay $10 to have it installed in a cartridge.

I am assuming that you paid $39 or $59 if you got the encore. There are now 2 ways to get a Harmony Cart. Bare board and you provide the cartridge shell. Or you pay an extra $10 to the previously mentioned prices and the PCB is placed in a modified cartridge shell.
I would assume you didn't pay the extra $10 for the shell.
In the past, the Harmony always came in a shell. With new competition with the Uno cart Batari needed to move some overstock in boards so he started offering a cheaper version that wasn't installed in the cart shell. It appears that is what you paid for.

I should probably add, in before the lock.

Because it is about history and tracing the rights to one of the most infamous games. It is about finding out what happened to the game that brought many joy. And possibly to crowdfund buying the rights so it can be released to public domain for preservation purposes.
Yes, in today’s culture lets revive a game about raping women. Really? Would could change it from Custer to Weinstein’s Revenge and he could rape up and coming Hollywood actresses.
I am still in shock over this post.

wait wait wait so Atari 2600 actually factors into the plot?
i see this on wikiepidia_--
The third challenge requires one to play Halliday's favorite Atari 2600 game, in a castle on Planet Doom, which Sorrento has protected with a force field
what game are they speaking of? so this is a new movie?
Ready Player One was originally a book released in 2011. It was made into a movie and released in the USA 3/29/2018.
To answer your question about the game click if you want to be spoiled!!

How long do orders generally take? I have an order in from late December.
Not complaining. Just curious.
You're new here, right?
Atari Age is not Amazon.
Curt Vendel is not Amazon.
I am sure Curt will chime in with an update.

Always wondered if the pedals would make me any better.
I haven't put a whole lot of time in with the pedals yet, but it's definitely a different learning curve.
I haven't played it any other way than with the FP & DC so I can't really compare but I think it would be a little easier than just a joystick. You have cleaner rotation control with the DC than trying to do everything with 4 positions of the JS and the fire button. IMO.
-
Does ->this<- help?
Perfect. That did it. I assumed the DC needed to be in the pass through port on the foot pedal. The only thing I didn’t try was to put the DC in the Right port.
Thanks again.

I recently acquired a Thrust+ Collectors Edition and/or Combat Pack. (The one with the foot pedal controller. Limited to 50 Copies)
I went to give it a try today and I didn't have much luck getting the driving controller to work.
My DC's work fine by itself with Indy 500. (Maybe a little jittery, is there anything to do about that?)
But when I plug it into the foot controller and map the Left and Right to the DC and Up Down and Fire to the FP everything works except for the L & R on the DC.
Just for kicks, I mapped the DC to Up and Down and it works, the ship will thrust and shield, useless for playing the game that way but the DC is at least being recognized.
I am trying to play this on an AV Modded 7800, but I also pulled out my AV Vader with the same results.
Any ideas on what the problem might be? I have tried it with the Thrust cart that came in the pack (Screen Shot attached) and I have also tried with my Harmony cart with Thomas' DC hacked rom.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmm. Looks like a Hyperkin product.
This is supposedly the "upgraded" stick for the Retron 77. They have started offering these as a stand-alone purchase.

Not sure how helpful it is, but the "Master Box Maker" (Marc O) has a box "Template" on his page that might be a good place to start. It basically lays out a flat box and color codes each side or edge.
http://www.atarivcs.de/Homebrew/Homebrew.html - The template file is at the bottom of the page. You will need Photoshop or something that will open PSD files.

A quick google of the mailing address and I found this.
https://github.com/cloudsriseup/Hacker_EZines/blob/master/ZNET/0052.txt
Looks like they made a lot of different "Fan Zines" and also distributed some of the later one via BBS.

I personally don't think that it is that rare. It has been slowly on the rise. Are you looking for CIB or loose?
I paid $50 for my CIB last July. There have been some new collectors with very deep pockets that have shown up on ebay in the past 4 months driving a lot of prices up.
I lost out on several (4-6 rarity) CIB's that have never or rarely sold for $75 that ended up going from 200 to as high as 450 in a few cases. There were talks of shill bibbing in some cases.
There is one in a closed FB group I am a member of, right now they are asking $80 for a CIB 2600 Pengo.
Just my opinion.

I have not been keeping close tabs on this thread since probably mid-November. But when my notifications for this topic started exploding today I knew that I needed to get caught up.
I don't have a lot to add except this - As you can see from the attached picture I am in support of all sides of this as much as some of it is conflicting.
I appreciate the homebrew programmers like Bob and Kurt who use their precious TIME and TALENTS to produce games that help us to continue to enjoy the consoles we had in our youth or in my case of the 7800, wanted to have.
I have supported homebrew hardware developers like Juan Mateos and Fred Quimby directly by purchasing their homebrew hardware so that I can play WIP homebrews. And when I really enjoy a WIP or a finished game where the ROM has been made publically available I spend my hard earned money on physical carts from reputable publishers who provide a way to show monetary support for these homebrew projects.
I am saddened when things like this happen in our community. I hope a compromise can be struck and I can buy a CIB version of Baby Pac-Man to add to my collection.
What is not shown in this picture is that 90%+ of my homebrews and or hacks I have purchased CIB. Or I have bought a 3rd party repro box from a Marc O when the original box is no longer being offered.
(They are not shown in this pic for space reasons.) I love this hobby that I was sucked back into almost 2.5 years ago and hope to be able to continue to enjoy new games for many years to come.
Thank you PMP and everyone involved in bringing us games like these in whatever form we get or like to enjoy them in.

I don't know about carts. But from what I understand the latest update allows you to play a lot of recent homebrews off of the SD card.
-
I bought these old CGE Proto Repro’s from someone on the AAFB Marketplace. The carts were bouncing around inside with no type of inserts.
Now, these are locked into place as they should be.

I've had some good luck reproducing Kids controller overlays using cardstock and "rolling" a large marble over an area to indent. Makes buttons!
Anyways, I'm giving my two kids the CTW deluxe package for Christmas (all four games and 2 kids controllers), but I'm missing a Cookie Monster Munch overlay.
Can someone post a high resolution scan (like 300 dpi or more) ? It would be seriously appreciated.
Wasn't able to find a nice image floating around on the internet last I checked. Also if anyone is interested in reproducing homemade ones of their own, I can post scans of my originals for the other three games.
I have one coming that will be here on Friday/Saturday. I can scan it for you if you don't have any luck before then.

Why don't those 1200 people come over and buy some warez here man?
If you google Atari sites as a fan Atariage is pretty much THE ONLY site of any relevance.
I am always posting these memes I made in the AA FB groups.

Atari 2600 Harmony Cartridge
in Harmony Cartridge
Posted
I don't know. You probably would need to emai or PM Batari.
