can i buy a pre-modded atari flashback 2+ anywhere?
groundtrooper replied to memelord's topic in Atari 2600
There is a guy named Jimmy Ipock in the Atari Age Facebook Marketplace that is selling modded FB2's. He has a lot of different options that he has come up with. https://www.facebook.com/groups/atariagemarketplace/permalink/1001899876650098/ -
Well if Pac-Land is next I know Dauber wants Professor Pac-Man. [emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I guarantee you there are people who don’t know that the Atari Age Store even exists. There are people that are in the AA FB Group that don’t even know there is a forum let alone a store. That is what eBay scalpers are hoping for. This meme has come in very handy in such cases. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I doubt it. The Harmony board as well as most of AA's custom boards are much larger than a stock 2600 or 7800 PCB depending on how the chip layout and counts are done.

Would that be like a Pokey Partial Circle of life? Ballblazer Pokey sacrificed for a Crystal Quest with Bentley Bear cart. Crystal Quest with Bentley Bear Pokey sacrificed for a Froggie Cart.

Standard protocol for the AA store on a release like this is CIB initially, then they will eventually sell a Cart/Manual a few months down the road.

Ha ha. What a dummy I am. Ya that would not be very fun. I already suck at the maze clearing with a joystick the Starplex would be like enabling an expert difficulty mode via a controller. Ok I retract my previous stupid comment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Depending on what Bob decides to do control the flippers, if he goes the joystick direction route I think I would just use this. Or a possibly a Track & Field Controller.

If Rob Kudla Met Todd Frye (Ms. Pac-Man hack)

Nice work! This is pretty solid. Gave it a quick run in Stella. Will drop it on my Concerto and give it shot on real hardware tomorrow if I get a chance. -
Well Trebor you just blew my high score right out of the water on the first board with one baby pac! I dropped this Rom on CPUWIZ’s old Concerto and it works like a champ on real hardware. Nice job again Bob! While Baby Pac would not have been my choice for a 7800 home brew as I have NO connection to the arcade game. I never saw it in my little AZ town growing up. This is a great little game even with just the video portion. This is gonna be great once the Pin is implemented. Not to derail this thread but after Baby Pac is done maybe you could revisit Defender. “Pretty Please” [emoji6] Keep at it Bob. This really good at this early stage. Yet another solid Pac-ManPlus product. Thanks again for keeping the 7800 alive! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PM sent! I have a nice 8 pound box ready to go!

Not the cheapest solution, but the simplest. It's what I did. LOL.

I have had a few PP2 carts that I have been sitting that I got for a steal. I will go hit my local shops and see if I can find some more "commons" to help with the cause. I know that I don't need Froggie delayed any longer than it already has been because you don't have "shells" to drop the boards in. I had never thought to pick up "Red or Gray" label late carts for this option. I know there are some of those around in local shops so I will see if I can get some deals on these. Al needs shells. I need new homebrews.

OK I had a chance to strip the header and drop it on my Mateo's and test it. It works fine as far as I can tell. I played it and got in the 3000 point range.

I have lucked into 2 over the past year. One locally in an "Antique Mall" The other was on the Atari Age FB Marketplace which I picked up as a gift for Ferghead and the 2600 Game by Game Podcast. The hard part with ebay on this title is that most sellers assume that if they have the cart and manual then it is COMPLETE. I have sent messages to no less than 6 sellers over the last year that had them listed as CIB. They all replied that the boxes didn't have any of the overlays and they didn't even know that the overlays were part of the COMPLETE package. If you go the ebay route just be sure to check their pictures for overlays. If they use a stock picture then send a message and confirm what their "so called" CIB contains. The other thing that I seen more than once is that the "CIB" comes with a "photo copied" manual with no overlays. Good luck. It is a tougher on for sure. But they do come up on occasion.

I only tried on my Concerto. If I get a chance I will drop it on my Mateos and see how it goes.
-
Ok cool. I was like all I did was hit the fire button once and I found the secret room. Lol Unfortunate that the game won’t really work on my Concerto I would like to give it a try. I guess it’s off to an emulator for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My Concerto results; The a78 rom would just freeze on the first screen of the game after the title screen. Like gambler172 reported. I tried the bin version. It loaded and I magically found the secret ending immediately. [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
