Gone is a relative term. The site is still there with 2017 copyright right dates at the bottom of every page. I had worked up a $50+ cart and it wouldn't accept my payment. I ended up sending multiple emails with no response. I am guessing the stuff I had in my cart hasn't been in his inventory for a number of years. I was told on FB or another thread here that the site really hadn't been updated since 2006-2007ish. I don't know if that is true. All I know is I wish I could have got all the stuff that was in my cart. But alas the site appears to be legit, it no longer is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Being a "new guy" here... Is one these guys you are talking about atari2600.com. I tried to place an order over there about a month ago. They are "in my back yard" so to speak. Their CC processing kicks back an error, sent 2 - 3 emails with no response. The site has 2017 dating all over it but I was told in another thread that it hasn't been updated in years. So I guess I just saved $50 to go toward new HB's tomorrow.

I second this fully. If you want the absolute BEST controller go with an Edladdin. I have the Edladdin Supreme 78 All-Play 4/8 and it is amazing. Ed is currently building me a Super Twin 78 and I can't wait to get it. If you want the best go with Edladdin. If you want your classic controllers to be the best they can be, go with Best Electronics like I stated above.

I loved Lode Runner. First played it on a friends Apple ][e. I used to play the updated Windows one that Sierra released Lode Runner - The Legend Returns. Fun stuff.

I have also done the Best Gold rebuild kits and they resurrected my childhood CX40's. I did clean all 3 sets of paddles I had. One turned out perfectly the other 2 I still have some jitters or non responsiveness. When I ordered my rebuild kits from Best I went ahead and ordered a pair of lifetime pots paddles because I new I had SCAA and Medieval Madness coming and they are dead on accurate. I am curious also. I am on the latecomer list. But I am sure that there are people who have given up and moved on and would like their investment back.

They are reassessing their pricing now that there actually seems to be a market for 250 Combat carts. Who would have thought?

I appreciate the offer. My only issue is this cart has his autograph on it. The guts might be replaceable but the label would likely be messed up. Ya I am weird like that. Technically the cart didn't cost me a dime. I bought from a member here. And when it didn't work he refunded my money even after finding out it was autographed.

Ya it's the same one that is in the store. That is where it is from. When we placed our Pre-Orders Al asked if there were any other things from the store that we were thinking about buying he could add them to our pre-orders to save us some shipping. The Jr. Pac-Man I had from Pac-ManPlus' personal original offering would no longer boot. So I added it and MM which is an AMAZING update of 2600 Warlords by Darrel Spice here. So I added those 2 older games to my order.

trebor pretty much nailed it. The only thing I would add is if you are a Donkey Kong fan don't bother with the retail release save that money and put it towards tep392's DKPK. You can get on the waiting list here. This version is the only Donkey Kong you need. It has all for levels too many options to list. For a great review listen to daubers episode about it here.

I would hope that if this is licensed somehow that it would be licensed down to the level that say FROGGER was back in the FERG. PARKER Bros got the cartridge rights and Starpath got the magnetic rights. Thus 2 very different versions of the same game for the same system. So AT Games would get "Portable/Emulation" rights for Flashbacks and that would leave "Cartridge" rights open for AA. (One would hope) I hope this is how it goes down if it becomes an issue. Granted I will always have the last released ROM on my Harmony to play on real hardware, but in the same breath I would still buy an 8k version on cart in the store if it was offered.

I just read in another forum that Photobucket has now blocked all 3rd party viewing and that links that once worked fine, now show as broken. As a photobucket user this pisses me off a little bit. That might also be the issue in this case.
