  1. I heard that if we were really good then there would be a physical release for this on AA, but we have to be REALLY good. Plus, they promised us a pizza party with a magic show and a petting zoo. I've been on my best behavior lately.

Don't forget the bounce house. All good little boys and girls deserve a bouncy house or bouncy castle.

Does the being good only apply to this thread. Because there is a running gun battle going on in an old home brew thread. We might not get JACK because what's going on over there. :P

  2.

Dang! I have to come clean here and admit that I own a copy of DB.

Ha Ha! OK sramirez2008 now I have to look at you in a new light. :P Did you get it during the initial offering (charity) or from someone else?

I live in PHX. So I am already at the 1/3rd point of the sim. While I haven't driven from Tucson to Vegas, I have driven from PHX to LV but not driving a bus and it is not a bad drive, I guess I have done it too many times, but adding the 2 more hours from Tucson in another story. Meh I don't really care for Tucson.

  3.

    I didn't think that was a game. :?

Isn't DB more of a "Simulation"? I saw one for sale here and was curious because I had never heard of it. A quick google lead me to a couple of game play videos/reviews. I decided that it wasn't worth $65 which was what it was being sold for. Pass on that one. The cause it was originally done for was great. But at this point buying from a 3rd party doesn't seem worth it.

  4.

I think he means...it doesn't have anything to do with any vintage Atari consoles. (That means...something newer...modern). His statement about it being legit, is just that. It is a real thing and something Atari has partnered with another company for.

Oh I totally understand the "legacy hardware" part of the statement. The "legit" is what is the mystery to me.

  5.

Well, you already mentioned the topic in the 8-Bit thread. I didn't see anything that would shoot this down in that thread. What did you read that makes you not like this?

Never mind, I miss under stood your comment.

However with that stated, just because it isn't an "original cart accepting" console with HD doesn't mean it can't be something really cool to look forward to.

    That's my two cents.

To be clear, this is a current Atari product in partnership with a company who is not AtGames. It is not related to any legacy hardware. It's legit.

    Whatever that means...

  6. Maybe something that will play the original cartridges on an HD TV?! That would be cool!

    I would LOVE this.

I would love this also, but it has already kind of been shot down by someone in the know in another thread about Ataribox. :(

  7. I to wanted a hardback but in another thread or on FB the author himself commented to best one to get was the paperback but even it had issues, though not as many issues as the hard cover. I went paperback and yes it has issues. I would love a better copy but for what it is I think I will live with it and hope when Vol 2 comes out the quality of the printing is improved.

  8. The expansion port was going to hook up to a laser disc player.

So now you need to track down that expansion cable and the super rare AT480 Laser Disc Player

Just kidding, ;) kind of. The plan was for a laser disc player, and keyboard and some other things. It was all scrapped. The cable and AT480. I made those up.

  9. We produce a line of arcade controllers that are available through the AtariAge store. Enclosures are large and heavy so your can keep that light arcade touch on the sticks and buttons. Almost everything is customizable at no extra charge. We also make a simple adapter that allows use of Sega Genesis controllers with the Atari 7800.

    https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_list&c=29

We also have a ton of photos on the Facebook page.

I highly recommend the Edladdin Supreme 78 All-Play 4/8. I own #17 and it is the best controller I own. It is the ultimate joystick for the 2600/7800. Especially if you are a maze game fan. The ability of this stick to switch between 4 and 8 directions will definitely make all your games more enjoyable and improve your scores* (*Your mileage may vary) :D

  10. This is his site. Retrogamershop.com

If you are in the US you can't order directly from his site. But just go to the contact link at the bottom of the page and shoot him an email.

He is pretty responsive to emails. I ordered about 14 boxes from him about a month ago. I need to email him again. I have about 6 more that I figured out that I need to get.

Let me know if you need any other info.

  11. I've seen this thread. But there is no rom available. :( I need a link to the rom itself.

I thought the ROM was there. I just read through the rest of the thread. It has been a while since I have read that thread. I don't think that Kevin has released it publicly. I think he just sent the one version to Phil for his podcast.

I would be nice to have. It is a great hack.

  12. Damn ! I wanted to ask a question. I'll just ask here. Maybe someone can help me. I was looking for this updated Rampage project I heard about for the Atari 7800 but Cannot locate any roms of the work in progress. I would like to get some footage if it exists for my new video, Let's Compare ( Rampage ) on my youtube channel. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
