  1. Just wanted to let you know that there are still a few copies left, so you can still grab one. Both versions - small and large.

    Happy new year everyone.

I am very late to the party on these. Do you happen to have a "Lite Version" still available?

If so I would like a copy. And details on how to buy it.

    Thanks.

  2. I am a late comer to this and have already posted in previous pages that I would love an XM if your health improves and these become a reality. Hang in there Curt. I think I can safely say we are all pulling for a speedy and successful recovery.

  3. If you can get a game signed by someone who was in the movie or worked on the game it does add value. It becomes a collector item in the group of people who may collect that specific movie or license as well as for the normal game community. Someone else mentioned that the only people who would say no are the ones who collect mint sealed games, which I think is correct. The only time this may be different is if the game was one of the few very high dollar rare cartridges. If the cart is valued less then a $100 I would get it signed every time.

I have been cartridges signed by celebrities for years. Usually homebrew games games made specifically to be signed. Below is a small sample of what I do.

There you go bringing up Tara Reid. ;) LOL

  4. I just picked up a 7800 Jr. Pac-Man from a member here. When I tested the cart it didn't work. I cleaned it twice, still nothing. I contacted the seller, he said send it back and he would refund me and shipping. I commented that I didn't know that I was getting an Autographed copy. He said 'WHAAAT?" "I sold you an autographed copy below retail?" I sent him a pic with Bob's Auto right on the cart. He didn't know it was Autographed. He then said send it back for a full refund and he would sell it for more as it was working fine in his 7800 before he sent it out. Ultimately I said I would keep it just for the auto. He then offered me a credit for the defective cart so I ended up buying about 15 more CIB's from him and he made even more money off of me.

I consider Bob D. to be a rock star and an Atari Celebrity. I would say that in most cases it would raise the value for some people or most people depending on who signed it.

I would have loved to have a Tara Reid autographed Sharknado Cartridge. Even though she is a total train wreck I think it would be a very novel and unique item to have.

Instead I will just have to live with my plain old loose Shark cart. But if she ever shows up at Phoenix Comicon I will get her to sign it.

  5. I am with Ed. I had Combat as the Pack-in. I don't remember what my first cart actually was. But looking at some of my childhood carts and knowing what was important to me when we first got the VCS it was probably Homerun, Football, Golf or Outlaw. Those are my oldest text label carts.

  6. I was just able to acquire the Bob Decrescenzo 30th Anniversary multi-cart from the very generous and talented CPUWIZ. I thought since I needed to send feedback for Space Invaders it would be a great opportunity to test it out with that cart. Unfortunately the game totally froze up on me about halfway through the first wave of invaders. I have read that there we issues with a couple of games on this cart.

Luckily for me one the first three 7800 Home Brews I purchased from the AA Store was Bob's Space Invaders.

Taito's Space Invaders was one of the first video games that I ever saw or played at a bowling alley in the small AZ town that I grew up in.

Color option 1 (B/W) takes me right back to my first experience with Space Invaders. Especially playing with my Edladdin Supreme 78: All-Play 4/8.

Like others have shared in their reviews there are many great options and variations that make the simple play of Space Invaders different, fun and very challenging like the 2600 version. Speaking of the 2600 version the "Easter Egg" is a great nod to the original home version of Space Invaders that we all had to have.

I don't regret this purchase. My main reason for getting a 7800 last year was to finally acquire the console that I wanted to have back in the "ferg" to replace my 2600. I could never convince my parents to make that jump. I wanted a 7800 because of all the great arcade ports that were offered. While the 7800 arcade library is not as vast as the 2600, home brew authors like Bob and Ken have made my 7800 purchase very worth while with the great arcade ports that they have created.

This post is brought to you by: Edladdin Controllers, PacMan Plus and the Atari Age Store.

    ;)

  7. Is it too late to subscribe now for the upcoming games?

Depends on what games you want to try to get early. I am pretty sure that Bentley Bear sold all 25 copies for subscribers. There was only one left when I ordered my others. And I was on the late side of the notice.

The 2600 & 5200 offerings should be know problems but the 7800 titles pre-sold very well on the subscriber allocation. BB is pretty much gone or probably is gone the the other 2 were in single digits. a week ago.

Albert has not really updated how many are left.

I hope like tep392 said offering this info doesn't get me booted from the club.

  8.

Umm.. okay, just updated my notification prefs. Am a member of the secret society as well, so hopefully will get to spend big bucks soon too! :rolling:

I knew you were and was going to tell you to go check the thread...but I figured anyway I typed might have come off rude. ;) Although I have noticed this year more than previous years the Fool thing has spilled over a couple of days. Especially on FB. And I have had a couple of FB friends also point that out.
