1. Why not make the fire controls on the right stick be "left - fire - right" that way people could use the three button 2600 Track & Field controller right out of the box without modification? Combine that with REAL Trackball control like TJ's Missle Command hack and this would be the ultimate finished hack. You could then make the color/bw switch the pause as it should be for the 7800....
2. Has the "every five seconds whole screen flicker" problem been sorted out yet?
3. Danno

7800 sound

Xevious DOES allow you to use both buttons independantly for firing bombs or guns. change the position on the difficulty switch.
4. Teh every five seconds flicker problem still happens.
5. Look for the auctions that end late night, or at odd times. Right now there's tow or three ending in the next day or so that are still under $10.
6. I got a 7800 with two controllers, power supply, tv/game switch, and 12 7800 games for $30 on ebay not too long ago. How much is too much for you?
7. I had the original which is literally impossible. There is a fixed version of the NTSC available as a rom. I've played it through using a CC2. It is beatable. It's a great game, for the 7800.
8. Yeah, great job as usual, PMP. Works Great on my CC2.
9. Sometimes I read stuff that makes me do this:
10. Or you could just use the Pro-lines. I've never had a problem with them, at all. The Joypads are great too.
11. For the record, I've got no beef with you shadow. You're entitled to your opinion. The fact is I offered mine on this thread, and you quickly quoted me and replied to it as if you had to defend your opinion against mine, which you didn't need to do. But the way you worded it was kinda snappy, like you thought I was targetting you personally or something when I said Chad shoudn't sell himself short on the price of the CC2. As far as the comment on Mean 18, I simply don't like the fact that people drive up the price of so called "rare" carts that were made 18 years ago, when the person raking in the dough had nothing to do with the creation of the product, but merely is profiting on someone else's work. Whereas Chad has spent coutless hours developing the vastly intricate CC2, only to have people compare his work to a software emulator, and almost in a derogatory manner. Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but that's how it sounded to me. I apologize if my defense of one of my prized possesions got a little out of hand.
12. Clearly, someone who thinks that $75 is a good price for something that costs nearly twice that to produce, will NEVER understand the difference between an emulator and the CC2. No matter how hard you try to explain it. That's like calling a Ferrari and a Big Wheel the same thing. I'll just shake my head and walk away from this thread. 933473 Dude, get over it. Love the comment you posted in the Mean 18 thread, too. And just how am I supposed to know what Chad paid for the parts in a CC2!? Did he not say that some of the prices were well below his cost? This is not the first time you've singled me out in some type of an argument, Danno. Please do not continue this. 933599 You don't like being singled out? You have a habit of posting bad/wrong information and opinions that are rather abrasive/unnecessary. Frankly, I find your tone and most of your commentary insulting to the intelligence of most of the people here, but especially those of us who've been involved with the Atari emulation and development community for any length of time. I just thought I'd show you how YOU sound to everyone else.
13. You'd pay 42.60 for one single game cart, but you're only willing to pay $75.00 for a CC2. Must be that "New Math".

15. $200 was just fine. Anyone asking to buy one for less clearly doesn't understand or appreciate the work involved in creating these, and most likely wouldn't even buy it at the cheaper price. This isn't a pain in the ass multi-cart you can dump 5 or 10 games to. It's the ENTIRE 2600 & 7800 Collection (minus Pitfall II) on one MMC-driven cart with customizable menus. I'd pay $300 if that were the asking price. Don't sell yourself short, Chad.
16. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...crystal+castles 930848 Still don't see any evidence what so ever that Crystal Castles was even planned. 931262 http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...20castles&st=50 Note the Post by Tempest, which lists Crystal Castles as Atari product # 7817. Note also that Tempest is a moderator here and Official Atari Prototype historian.

18. Paypal has been having technical difficulties for 2 days now. I won a Sega Master system cart yesterday and been unable to pay for it and the seller's getting annoyed. But he's in the UK, so I'm NOT going to send a MO. be patient
19. There is one of those stickers on my copy of Robot Tank. It works fine on my 7800, which is a later model without the expansion port. Activision basically released a few thousand with those stickers to cover their ass after reports of the "middle release" 7800's being incompatible.
20. Let's make it more specific then. How many commercially released, non-proto, non-hack, NTSC-format ONLY, individual CARTRIDGES were released?
21. You could spend a lot less if you do like I did - Get two things - a Mitsui serial/PS2 mouse, and an Atari CX-80 trackball. Follow these instructions to wire the optics connections from the Mitsui mouse board to the Optics of the CX-80 trakball. Voila! 2 1/4" Arcade-style trackball you can use on you PC as a mouse or in MAME.
22. Got any games for sale? I just won a complete SMS just like yours on ebay for $16.
23. The most commonly referred, and popular "rumored" 7800 game isn't even on this list. Crystal Castles.
24. It's an opinion and I am entitled to it. I don't like nintendo. You don't need to PM me, and I don't need to have you tell me how to post. You're not a mod here.
