  1. Wow, so you are not interested in the boxed Music Machine, Guantlet, Asterix, Video Life, and a few other super rare Atari 2600 items? Homerwanabee: I have most of the other stuff anyway, I think things like PAL Mangia (where I have a boxed one and it's converted, so basically the same as the NTSC one) and some of the stuff like that are just unattainable make more sense to have repros because of the nature of collecting 2600. PAL Boxed Asterix is fine with me in my collection, as I think it is converted to NTSC anyway, but has the original box and manual. My Music Machine has an original game and manual, but a repro box, so I'll live. Gauntlet, repro, I will live. A lot of people have the "labelless" cart with one of the official excess inventory chips, and the repro I have of it is fine. Video Life, repro game, box, manual, etc, and not to mention who knows if one of these days the guys that run Commavid ever re-release it, so I'm ok with what I have on that as well. Some of those really high end releases draw such a fine line because there are so few, and it almost makes more sense to have a repro on them. I sure as heck would rather pay close to $3000 for a boxed Lochjaw than close to $5000 for a boxed Video Life. I think other than the games mentioned above (and my obvious want list), and Magicard, I have everything else original and boxed for 2600 that is not Pepsi Invaders, and Atlantis 2 (repros on those) (which don't really count as official releases) including the $1700 I spent on that CIB Out of Control on eBay a couple of years ago.... In any event, if I get them, great, if I don't, I'll keep looking, but I definitely wanted to raise awareness if someone needs some cash.
  2. Yeah, the Lochjaw is a big if. Even with these offers, it's not like people (resellers) are lining up to sell me the game. It has not been on eBay CIB in years. The only I saw last was in Joe Santulli's private collection on a tech show segment I watched. Condor Attack I think is a fair offer, but you never know these days. It all depends on what people are willing to pay, and I'm pretty picky with what I am after, and even pickier when you realize I don't have much to collect these days. Those two titles are the last two items I want for the 2600, so I'm hoping someone takes the economy into consideration and wants to trade for my fair offers =)
  3. Bump. Let's change the prices. $2500 for Lochjaw and $1200 for Condor Attack
  4. Doctorclu, I have a Jaguar dev system coming but without the dev board, just a system with the cord port sticking out of it...
  5. Not so much the high price but i just can't see putting that kind of money into one cartridge when it could get you so much more Maybe if your very rich and have an Aston Martin parked in your garage and your house is worth 1,000.000. Then sure, we'll throw 1.000 on this game, 1500 on another. Hell, i'm just trying to pay $50 per game myself. Then again, i don't need every single thing ever released either. I do good with what i have. Honestly, why does everyone always have something to say when something like this comes up, then tries to validate their own collecting/game stuff based on their own collecting habits. If someone has that money to spend, let them. Some people work hard for their money. If you are trying to spend $50 on games, imagine the families that have NEVER afforded a NEW game and have to go to garage sales and flea markets ONLY. Imagine what their reaction to someone like you who CAN afford $50 games when THEY can only get $2-3 games. This works both ways here. If the person sells it for $2000 next year and is using it as an investment, so be it, but you could go as far as saying ANYTHING you spend your money on these says is not going to get you even above the inflation mark.
  6. I agree and will be working on this as some of their competitors will be close behind according to them. One fact is the "little guys" still have more of a presence on ChaseTheChuckwagon than Ebay considering all the bazillions of members there. Regardless of how you look at it right now there is still far less competition in our marketplace than Ebay. Even with the influx of high-volume sellers. The trick will be to supplement the larger amount of listing with more buyers and that will be up to me. I am working on the big picture here as it relates to blowing this thing wide open. Stay tuned. Discountgames has been off ebay for almost a month. It's like with any seller, and feedback system, if they do well great, if they don't , don't buy from them.
  7. This sure isn't a good public relations moves calling everyone on here immature.
  8. I researched the whole Super Gun thing a bit ago, interesting concept. I'm kinda weirded out however, it looks like the MAS Systems Super Gun isn't... compatible with my stick. The pad connector looks different. o_O MAS Systems Super Gins (Novas) have 15 and 25 pin connectors depending on the model, but that would not work on the 15 pin connection because the pinout is different. Basically someone has to have a proper pinout for that to work, so that specific stick you have might be compatible with the Neo Geo only, and not a Super Gun. It might even work on an X68000 possibly? Not sure about that one, though.
  9. Good!! maybe that will draw more sellers away from ebay and over to CTCW! Rick I just hope CTCW gets bigger, exposure is still small on some instances... Mods, this thread should be locked, there's already one called "eBay Shenanigans" that states the same stuff in more detail. This one was first though by 14 hours. All right, then updated with all the info from the other thread and that one closed? Whatever works, lol

  11. LOL, and did you read the real story on the eBay site where they are increasing most of the final value fees in the video game categories on "fixed price" listings to 15% of the final value fee? HAHAHAHAHAHHA, what a joke.
  12. guyjin: no offense, but there is no "price guide" on that site, and everyone's idea of what things go for sometimes are outdated. I hate to say it, but eBay is really the deciding factor on pricing these days whether or not you are getting a deal, but in the defense of PCFX.COM, they are not mad about the reselling, they said atreyu lied about where he got it, and each time they try and hook him up with a deal, he wants to make money off people instead is the general consensus there.
  13. I have to agree, I frequent PCEngineFX.COM, but they are HIGHLY sensitive to things like this. You get yourself into something over there, and you are branded evil for some reason. I don't agree with it, and I think the moderators should step in and do something about it, but a lot of times they agree with the people antagonizing the situation. I think they are more concerned with him supposedly "lying" about the price in the beginning as to what he got it for or something, that might be why they are so upset, but it's not merited in any way, shape or form.
  14. Prototypes are worth a lot more when the unreleased cart is not even dumped, but that's another story =) I've never seen an NES proto sell for $30-50. You should be able to get $75-120 for that game, as it is the fair market value for it.
  15. Brucebidder: Why don't you like sniping? It's over and done with and you don't have to be in front of the computer? I don't see ANY reason for people not to snipe anymore. It drives up the price to not snipe these days, and you can't see who you are bidding against anymore anyway.
  16. As pictured. Please make me an offer on each of them. Some are uncommon. Trying to filter down my collection a bit here on games I will never play. Elvira is a Commodore 64/128 game but it is in German The other games will work on Atari 400 800 and XE systems. All are at least boxed, and there might be one-two missing manuals, but I can check that on specific titles. PM if interested in any with offers please! http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i217/DreamTR/002.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i217/DreamTR/001.jpg
  17. As a lot, one would never expect to command the kind of prices that a collection would be valued if sold as single items. Sure those titles are in the hundreds each, but how many people would buy every game to "start" a collection. Most people don't wake up one day and say "I've got $5K and never did buy even Keith Courage... I'll be shopping for a complete set today. There is no doubt that they could get more than $2000 parting it out, but it is likely that anyone who would want it, would already have a collection of their own started. Fact is the kind of person looking for this already has a collection, OR wants to resell for a profit. I bought Eric's collection for $1500 and had over 100 duplicates to sell off (it was a ton of work and wasn't profitable, though many of his were better than mine, and it did enhance my overall set and fill holes, but I don't think it was less work than buying one at a time.) I hate to even think about having to do it again, BUT... for those very specific titles the extra work would be worth it. I'd rather see the seller part it out themselves and make the money, so the people looking for those select few can get them. AX If it was "worth" the price, it would sell instantly because resellers have the funds to grab them and piece them out. You're right, that is what a person is buying it for, but you are comparing apples to oranges. I don't think you bought almost 100 sealed TG games for $1500 from Eric, and that's what makes this auction a big deal, is the outer boxes and sealed games he has in general.
  18. $2000 realistic? Boxed Magical Chase, Dynastic Hero, Might and Magic III, Terraforming, Y's III, Bonk III (both versions), I'm already close to $2000 just for those unless that listing does not include Duo games.
  19. LOL, I doubt this is real by any means
  20. I love that meeting when Channel Advisor had this meeting with us about Shipping and Handling COSTS DSR, FREE Shipping averages a 4.8? LOL. How the heck do you get a 5.0? FREE SHIPPING and it's less than 5.0?
  21. At that rate, they would need to give a partial refund to the Seller like Half and Amazon do. That could work if it was presented that way, but even Amazon allows sellers to manipulate the shipping charges.
  22. That's all jetset ever does. He accuses everyone of ripping people off left and right. I mean, if he had experience buying and selling in large amounts on eBay, then sure, but he doesn't. He doesn't buy much at all, and he rarely sells. I mean, the guy is so neurotic and lost, he thinks everyone that defends shipping costs are scammers and crooks, and he basically just rips into them completely. Somehow I only come on this forum to post my "wares" apparently. Are you kidding me? That has to be one of the most laughable things I have ever heard? Oh wait. I have a link to my eBay store in my signature? WOW, ADVERTISING WARES ALL DAY. You never see my advertise my stuff for sale on eBay in separate threads, and I can guarantee you 100% my prices are better than 99% of the people everyone deals with. This thread has been totally screwed again because of his I hate shipping costs deal. It's nothing new, but seriously, it's getting old, and he needs a new hobby instead of ranting about shipping costs when he rarely buys anything in the first place. Oh, and just an FYI, eBay THEMSELVES based on the higher final value fees SUGGESTED TO high volume powersellers to RAISE THEIR SHIPPING AND HANDLING COSTS ACCORDINGLY to alleviate the FEES. Now yes, there is an issue with circumvention if they are "too high", but that was directly from eBay because it affects Powersellers greatly. It's funny when eBay tells the top 5% of all eBay sellers to adjust in this fashion (when the fee changes were being implemented), but it's still "stealing" and "illegal" in your eyes. I charge $5 to ship a DVD style game with DC. That covers everything on my end, and I have not raised the prices in years.
