Bump because people should buy stuff from Tempest! AND if I collected 5200 protos, I'd be all over these!
-
I like it when eBay showed us (on Channel Advisor) that someone offered FREE SHipping and Handling on ALL purchases, and they still only had a 4.7 on that. YOu need a 4.8 to get the extra 15% off. Come on. What a crock! Free shipping and handling, abd buyers rate that LOWER than 5 under the charges??????????????????
-
Still no idea why anyone complains about shipping costs if they are clearly upfront in the auction. I mean, Buyatari is right, this is normal service for Wal-Mart, Sears, K-Mart, anyone you buy stuff from online is going to implement a handling charge. If you have employees doing your stuff for you, you aren't supposed to chrage handling fees? With gas prices going up and up, you think the airlines are running scams by charging for bags too? Should not even be in the equation here. I've bought thousands of items off eBay and sold thousands of items off eBay. There is absolutely no protection for people to be warned of unsavory buyers with possible Paypal scamming potential. At the very least, this feedback was protection built in for overseas scammers, but now they can run rampant. If you haven't sold tons of items, and only bought a few on eBay, but continue to gripe at each and every thread, maybe you should just buy stuff from the store and not deal with online trading. Feedback system is just an atrocity now, there really is no point.
-
Sellers can't leave negatives anymore. This whole system is just an atrocity. No matter what you do, the Buyer has all the control no matter what happens. I've had so many people not pay these days that it's sickening. You can't even tell good buyers from bad when they don't have negatives.

Feedback Abuse that bound to happen and already happened
DreamTR replied to Hendra's topic in Auction Central
Buyers can do no wrong now apparently. I've had 4 people lapse past by 7 day date for payments. No one will ever find out these are non payers unless I put that as the postive feedback text. I got 5 negatives because even though the packages were delivered fast, they filed a Paypal claim, I added tracking, and the person who tried to pull a fast one said I was rude. Yeah, this system is great. -
Update.

Has anybody else had SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW Shiping from MyAtari
DreamTR replied to nonner242's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I usually buy 3 or 4 items at once. They must use UPS for multiple item shipments. I know I use different shippers based on size and weight. I primarily use Priority/FCM. I will use Fedex Ground if the box is too big and gets hit with volume based weight. They can be slow because it's only Bruce and Cathy I think. I have never had issues with their items or service. If they had a store, I'd probably be in it everyday. Yikes! -
I concur. I'm glad he found the game, but why is he signing them????

Crazy Climber: It's all about having shelves triple backed for lack of space! =P

This list is very helpful! ANyone have an idea where I can pick up some more of these that are not at Myatari.com?

Very nice price on a MINT CIB Quadrun...
DreamTR replied to Crazy Climber's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
For Quadrun I agree with this sentiment. I still think a Near Mint 9/10 condition CIB Quadrun is easily worth the $645 price tag, maybe not 1k anymore. Yep, that price is more than fair. -
$10 to ship from Mexico with tracking really isn't that bad Yeah no kidding. Jetset is so obsessed with shipping practices that he does not even bother to read where the guy is from. And you're obsessed with flame-baiting me. Get lost troll. Back under your bridge. Jetset calling DreamTR a troll? Oh now that's rich... Tempest Ahahahahahhaha, I love it! Actually jetset, I never flame bait you. You have wars with other people, but you constantly gripe about shipping. Even when you are 100% wrong on something like this, you still can't admit it. I could understand if you actually bought and sold constantly on eBay, but you don't, so it just looks ridiculous if you ask me. Fact of the matter is, $10 for shipping from Mexico = excellent if you ask me. Nobody asked you. And actually I only ever had a "war" with one other person who was only here for the same reason you are. M-O-N-E-Y! Show me where USPS media mail from Mexico to the US is within reason of $10.00 Then if that was the case, why did you say I "flamebait" you and call me a troll when you just admitted yourself you only had this issue with one person? I am here for money only? Really? Wow. This is amazing. Please tell me how I am selling and advertising all my eBay wares all over the site and not buying up stuff. Please show me this. I have never seen such ignorance from any one person in my life. I'm not on Atari Age for money. I don't advertise auctions and disappear in the night. The guy's Media Mail thing is probably an error on his part.

I am still shocked by all this fuss over the cart. Do you go into a Ferrari dealership and argue about the price not being the same as the Honda Civic because the Civic is a better car, better gas mileage, etc, but the Ferrari is for showing off, etc? Some people will be able to buy it, some people won't. People collect for different reasons, and a lot of people are not even going to play this cart. Was everyone arguing when Venture II collector's editions shot up tenfold? Seriously. I want to see people go to the store and argue games that get released (like Jumper) that start at $39.99 and really should be $19.99, but aren't. It's a supply/demand thing here. Rob Fulop's product is going to sell regardless. If you don't like the guy, don't buy this game, simple as that. Someone else will. If you want to buy it and put it aside thinking it will blossom like Cubicolor did, that's your call, but if his product was not selling at $89.99, he would have to lower the price, but anyone who knows this community and all the hype people put behind old programmers, especially one who has been hyped liked Rob Fulop has, knew this was going to sell regardless. I'm not taking anyone's sides here. I don't agree with things from both sides of the equation here, but it's still a product that was going to sell regardless of price.

What does that have to do with anything? Gammation existed...I have a copy of their business filing with the state of Ohio. That's not the issue. I'm simply saying that there has been no trademarks filed on the Gammation or Gamma Attack names (as this 'gamecrawler' person claims). It has nothing to do with it, that's the point. Gammation is out there, Menavision info is not, so I was just throwing that up in the air.
-
Stuff like this makes me wonder why people try to screw with the Atari community so much. One day these idiots will learn don't screw with a hobby where most people are more intelligent than the scammer, and there is very little reward involved. You are better served going to the Coin, Baseball card, or comic industry. Much higher chance of success with bigger reward. To put it simpy "This is the wrong hobby to screw with." Forget Gammation. The real question is who or where the heck was that hack/pirate MENAVISION company?
-
Gamcrawler, if this game came out, and did not sell well, why did it take 25 years or so for someone to find ONE copy of it? WHo did you sell the carts to anyway? How many were produced? Why are you selling repros and not the real one? And isn't Xenia, OH in the same area as the guy that made all those hacks of the horror homebrews?

The big question is whatever happened to the guy on the North Side with Windy City Game Exchange? I think that was the store in oak park. the last time Iwas there though it got turned into pet store. I do remember that there was a sign on thier door saying that moved thier store to the melrose park swap o rama. what ever happened to the Game Club that was in palatine,IL? Oak Park= South Side. This was on the North Side past downtown. it's was on oak park,il on lake street (only about 3 miles away from austin city limits, How do I know this: I had to walk down there to pick up loose carts) Then there must have been two, because this one was on the North Side and had the rarest video games I've ever seen at a game store to this day.

That's all right. I put that down from my faulty 20-year old memory. And when I went to E3 in 2005, I stayed in West Hollywood, which just reinforced that that's where I thought the store was. I didn' even know there was a North Hollywood! It's cool, I am sure I would royally mess up some places from Jersey that I have ordered from in the past! I just happened to live in North Hollywood for almost a decade.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next Malagai for sale!
DreamTR replied to CPUWIZ's topic in Auction Central
It was, I just heard back from the seller (I have a new method to get information out of sellers. LOL), it was itsataritime who made him end the auction and place a buy it now on it. Video Games are the best! -
Yep! You guys are the best! I'm gonna have to come visit sometime. You are welcome if you are good enough and smart enough! But I can´t promise that the people will like you....... Hey, where can I get one of these carts still?
