one thing that crossed my mind - since he was going to ship this today in just the original box, my guess would be that he taped it shut. I don't want to ask him for fear of him trying to remove the tape if he did. now if he did how hard would it be to remove it with a hair dryer/heat gun?

good thing I remembered the shipping incident with the atari box mentioned here. I decided to see if the seller was going to place this into another box and found out that he was just going to ship it in the factory box. I caught him before it shipped and now he is going to find a box to place everything into. I am really glad I saw that thread.

I once heard from someone on another forum who almost bid on a colecovision cart that had a BIN of 8.99 with a shipping charge of 9.00 plus 2.50 for insurance plus an extra 4.00 for ebay/paypal fees. as soon as he saw that he moved away from that auction asap.

I wasn't planning on tossing any of them. I just bought them because I got 3 for 18.00. the seller said they all had problems. I figured I could find someone here to help me out with atleast 1 of them so I bought them. this is the adapter I am using:

so how much damage can I do to the console if I don't do this just right? would it be better to try to remove the sticker off the face of it? if so, how is the best way to do it without creasing or putting any folds or damaging it?

here is a better idea of what is happening: imagine having the console set to chan. 4 with the tv on 3. the picture shows up but its fuzzy looking and then you have that static sound. yes, I already checked and the console is on chan.3. I am also not using an rf switch. I'm using one of those rf to f-jack plugs. edited to fix the description of the adapter.

I recently purchased a few consoles and while testing them I found one that actually works. now what I work like to do is use the case of 1 that looks brand new to replace the old, messed up looking 1 that works. is this something really hard to do? another thing - any idea what this could be: when I turn another system on the game shows up. its kinda fuzzy but not that bad but it has this like static humming sound. the sound is coming through the speakers on the tv not the console itself.

hi all. I just recently got out my old odyssey system and the controllers aren't working like they used to. what is the best way to clean these or whatever to make them work again? the problem is they don't seem to always want to work when moved to certain directions. could something else be wrong?

I forgot to add that I also got a copy of space shuttle with the blue label and fast eddie too. no boxes just the manuals.

I was out today and came across the following carts: jr. pac-man xevious for 7800 return of the jedi q-bert - atari release defender for colecovision freeway keystone capers sentinel for 2600 looked brand new plaque attack deadly duck crash dive commando raid I know some of these are very common but are any of these rare enough to warrant this purchase? if I buy them all at once the guy said he would give them to me for 60.00. he said he thinks he has some of the boxes/manuals too. is this a good deal? I can also get a colecovision console minus power supply for 10.00.

I was there 2 weeks ago and that guy was selling a Pac-Man for $8.00 if I remember correctly. then again it may have been $6.00. either way, way too much.

I was there about 2 weeks ago and only saw one shop that had Atari games. the other booth I saw had some kid working there and he didn't even know what an Atari was. where are they located if you don't mind saying? are they located in the front(facing Eureka) or toward the back of the place?

Your best bet is to get a bunch of RCA to F-Jack converters and use an F-Jack switchbox. You'll get a cleaner picture that way. Examples Mitch thanks for the replies everyone. where can I find an F-jack switchbox?
