here's the situation: I bought 2 7800 consoles for parts/fixing. 1 is a little rough in appearance while the other looks like brand new. it even has the clear sticker over the silver part of the cover. neither units power up. I knew this when I bought them. what things could I check to see if I could get atleast the great looking one running? also, they came with a nonworking power supply. are these fixable? before you ask I tested them with the power supply from my working system and I got nothing. any ideas would be great. thank you.

I just got ahold of this for just a little over $8.00 shipped from the UK. it only cost me $3.18 for the game, the rest was shipping. would you say its worth it? it is to me but what do you think? I know I can't play it but its pretty cool that I can have something that none of my friends have.

is there any one of these that is more desireable than the other? I currently have the console with the attached and was wondering if I should look for 1 with detachable controllers too. what do you think?

I was just coming here to ask a similar question. I have a picture that comes in clear but then just gets kinda fuzzy. the atari adapter works flawlessly. if I wiggle to rf cable the pic quality comes and goes. I have tried different cables that I have lying around but it still does it. if I get it just right it will stay for awhile but then just goes again. I may be moving the unit during gamepplay though. does it sound like my rf plug could use a good cleaning or maybe I need a new cable? the only thing I can't understand is why this only does this with the coleco and not the atari since everything travels thru the same cable. any ideas?

well, I have a fullsize Asteroids in my closet because my house doesn't have a basement.

too bad my wife and my CC won't let me get this.

in the last few weeks I have bought a Darth Vader 2600, 3 7800s, and a Colecovision system with almost every attachment(need the driving controller) and some loose games. hell, I even bought a few 7800 consoles for parts. I'm looking at getting another 2600 too. I think I want to try and find another Coleco as a just in case backup also. what kind of collections do you guys/gals have?

looking to replace my rf cable, is 1 any better than another
chrishicks posted a topic in Atari 2600
I was wondering if someone could tell me if any 1 cable is better than another. I see sellers on ebay that say they have different quality stuff so this has me wondering about it. I also want to replace my 7800 and colecovision cables too. I don't have the coleco yet so I'm not sure of the condition of the 1 that comes with it. can you use the same cable for both the 7800 and colecovision? -
I was in a local Gamestop and they were pushing Sega Genesis consoles out the door for $20.00.

this last weekend I went to our not so local trade center and they had some old atari stuff. they were smoking something really good when they priced the stuff that they had. they were selling Pac-Man for 8.00. nope this wasn't a brand new in the box copy either. it looked like the cart was wandering in the desert for a few years with no water and a little kid following close behind smacking it with a hammer. they also had a busted up 2600 jr. with nothing included for 60.00. this one looked like the kid actually caught it.

I sent an email about 2 hours ago. if I hear anything I'll chime in with a report.

is this link working for anyone? I was looking at this site earlier and now I want to order some stuff and now I'm getting "cannot find server" for them.

I would like to thank you all for the help. I just do not have good luck on ebay. now I have quite a few options. thanks again.

I have noticed this too. it's making it alot harder to find games now.

I have 2 different tvs that my systems can be hooked up to. the 1st is a 36" Toshiba Cinema Series from around 2000/01 and the other is a 57" Toshiba Cinema Series HDTV(2004 model). any idea if either of these would work? I think I still have 1 of my old 19"" sets around too.

title says it all. thanks.

since we're on the subject of trak-balls I have a question. I recently picked up an atari cx-22 and it just doesn't seem to move properly. could this just need a good cleaning and oiling?

what is the best way to clean the contacts in the load slot?
chrishicks posted a topic in Atari 2600
I'm trying to get my system as clean as possible. I have scrubbed the case to remove all dirt and gave it a coat of, no not Armor All, I used Formula 2001. but I would like to get the contacts as clean as possible too. so, if you can help me in any way I would really appreciate it. thank you.
