  1. Robochase is a game in which you outran robots and try to get them to run into each other or the red blocks. You can teleport by hitting the fire button. I don't know if I got all the bugs out cause I never got past level 4 where spunky appears. HOME_COMPUTER_MAGAZINE_VOL4_NO5.dsk
  2. found several cartridge basic images and all keep generating the error message cartridge required.
  3. The obstacles on land should be circles.
  4. Fixed it. The game works as good as I can get it. Can't find the graphic glitch with the obstacles On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine (1).dsk
  5. I just reedited Boolean Brain back to the original Pcjr version and the graphics modes don't work right like you said. Sound doesn't work either. Anyone have a real Pcjr to test this on?
  6. I have the system bios Says it loads at e800. I don't know how to load at certain memory addresses.
  7. remapped the scroll lock. I can boot mouser cart image but not basic cart
  8. doesn't load the cartridge and I don't have a scroll lock key on my laptop.
  9. I have the roms but I don't wanna run it in mame roms directory which is huge. Is there a way to run mess separate from mame?
  10. anyone know if there is a PCjr emulator with cartridge basic? One program in HCM only runs on PCjr
  11. Still can't get rid of illegal quantity error in 1380. Why does that line generate the error message and not the one with error? On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine (1).dsk
  12. I typed in Boolean Brain and I keep getting illegal quality in 1380 which is correct. I can't find what's causing it. I think it's those stupid useless data statement which are a pain to edit because when I hit esc and move the cursor to the error and then press enter I get syntax error. Also there is a 0 displayed next to keyboard interface and I can't find out why. I am always afraid people here will get mad at me for making mistakes in these programs like they did at Lemon 64. They said something like a comma instead of a period, colon instead of semicolon. How come you didn't check the lines before hitting enter. How could you be soo stupid. On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine (1).dsk On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine (1).dsk
  13. Finally got it working. Beware bad disk sectors in the computer. BOOLEAN3.BAS
  14. Here is another one with problems. Boolean Brain requires you to solve logic puzzles while walking around in a computer. Problem is when it displays the logic gates screen it is all green and the number keys don't respond. It is in Home computer magazine v 4.03 originally for the PCjr with corrections in v 5.2 to make it work on a normal pc. BOOLEAN2.BAS
  15. It is working as far as I can tell except the obstacles don't appear to be drawn correctly and I can't figure why. The randomness of the game is brutal. Sometimes you start surrounded by cannibals and can't win , sometimes you start near the water , and sometimes you can make it to the boat without running into the cannibals. On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine.dsk
  16. Here is what keeps happening. That message is coming from line 2060. Error in 200 screwed it up. Now I have graphic problems with the obstacles. Can't stand the way you have to edit programs on Apple II. Can't cursor up into lines and edit them. End up having to retype the whole line. Anyway to make a blank disk image.? Run cannibals to see progress soo far. On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine.dsk
  17. This is what i want to see is all the type ins for all the computers in all the magazines and books.
  18. Here is what keeps happening. That message is coming from line 2060. AppleWin_ScreenShot_000000010.bmp
  19. https://archive.org/details/HomeComputerMagazine_Vol4_02/page/n111 This program may be a lost cause line 1680 has part of the data statement 2 22 with no period or comma between it and a 42 with a space in front of it.
  20. I check my copy of the magazine and line 1680 is the same way so I don't know if it was misprinted.
  21. Ibm Pcjr platform game in which you collect numbers to stop the screen from flooding and ride a bucket between levels. Apple II educational title in high school. Select words to fill in sentences I think. Final score screen had a character in the upper right with a big word bubble across the top of the screen that sometimes read good
  22. getting there. fixed more data statements. Keep getting line number 1680 not found? Load cannibals not cannibals2 Anyway to transfer programs between prodos versions? On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine.dsk
  23. I can't tell how much of the program is executed before the emu crashes. I have debugged many of the data statements. I don't which version of prodos or apple basic I should use with these programs. I believe a real apple ii would not kick you out of basic if a program has errors like applewin keeps doing. There are no corrections in later issues. If I run it in Apple II+ mode it says run cannibals and just sits there doing nothing. On Disk - Programs from Home Computer Magazine.dsk
  24. Typed in Cannibals and again the emulator crashes in some ml monitor. I posted a screenshot of what it did. What mode is that? It is pointless for me to type in anymore programs if this keeps happening. AppleWin_ScreenShot_000000008.bmp
