I got it working now but i need a new ribbon cable because select and reset don't work. Anyone know where I can get one?

The wires on the connectors look to be in the right places based on the earlier pictures you posted in that the Yellow is the Ground wire and the Blue is the video. So the Blue wire should be on the center of the yellow RCA jack, the Red on the center of the Red RCA jack, then a piece of wire likely goes from the center of the red jack to the center of the white jack. Then you have the yellow wire that should be attached to any of the top tabs of those connectors since all of the top connection tabs are ground.
It does look like quite a bit of the PCB might be burned away from around the power jack though. Especially the ground connections and that might be the issue for still not having any power.
Also, is it just the angle the picture was taken or is the ribbon cable melted in the right center of it? Looks like one of the traces just ends abruptly?
What happened with the heavy sixer I fixed up for you like a year or two back? I know it wasn't AV modded, but that was just some light trace repair it needed on the voltage regulator to get it going again.
Also, it is important to keep in mind that these consoles are over 30 years old. That alone means they are going to be more fragile than when they were new but they were still built in a time when electronics were made to last vs today. That being said, these consoles were still built by imperfect beings. They won't last forever, but with care and knowledge of how to keep them going, they can last a very long time. But everything has their limits to how much stress and wear they can take. The fact that so many 2600s are still in working condition this far in the future is pretty cool honestly!
It's fine. I just wanted an A/V modded 2600. I am thinking the voltage regulator may have blown. The power light doesn't come on when I turn it on. I don't know about the ribbon cable. Anyone have a photo of a working jr ribbon cable?

put a new power connector in and while doing that the stupid mod wires broke off. I repaired them but no power no picture nothing. I don't have a clue what is wrong and this is because some stupid cables tried out for Tangled rather then stay nice and neat and pulled the power connector when I picked up the joystick. The stupid mod connections couldn't be unscrewed and that is why the wire broke. I don't even know if they are connected right. Everyone else's atari could have the cable tangle and pull the joystick free and their's would still work. . The ribbon cable is also problematic because it won't stay connected. Now two of the mod cables are broke again. I am sick of this. I want an atari that will always work no matter what happens to it.

ordered new left and right joycons. I have one joycon made of my original blue left joycon with non working L button and gray right joycon. I have anxiety and tend to get real angry when I lose unfairly in games. Super Smash Brothers Ultimate has been getting one my nerves lately. I am angry that there are challenges for online play and I have no desire to play online after bad experiences in Mario Kart 8. Sore losers taking it out on you cause they felt entitled to the win and people attacking you for what character you play.

just broke two joycons one left on right trying to fix the problems with them and stupid ribbon cables won't reattach. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF ALL MY VIDEO GAME STUFF BRREAKING!!!1 MY Atari 2600 jr wont't work cause the power connector popped off the board when the power and joystick cables tangled and I picked up the joystick and it pulled the power cable. M Colecovision won't work anymore because a mod failed.

The L button on my joycon stopped working and on my other the green light doesn't light up and it doesn't sync with the switch.

Why did they have to make the fire button rotate the chopper and fire at the same time? Sometimes when I try to fire the chopper rotates making it hard to hit tanks. Same with modern games too many moves on one button. Why can't they leave it at one button one move?

Thought Hatchet fighters was another name for the Marauders. Or they used the same model.
the same.

my system came from Yurkie.

I don't know how to look at directories in TI99 emulator?
-
My Yurkie modded Colecovision has a dim picture on the composite connection. I tried three power supplies and no change. RF works but has static noise. Can't open it without wrecking the label on the front of it. I am sick of this. First my modded 2600 fails because the internal power connector popped off the board connection and now this thing is acting up. Mom worries about me soldering too much cause it could make me sick.

The game won't let me save the state. It says file not found or no such device.
-
my grandfather and uncle had TI994a's but only cassette players to save programs. TI botched the disk drives by requiring people to buy a big expensive system box to hold the drive and the drive itself.
-
I am playing strange odyssey and need to save my game to disk. It keeps saying no such device. How do I save game to disk?
-
I thought about doing this at one time. Awesome. Just need Draconion Marauders as enemies.

Why do people always talk about Atari's failure when talking about the crash? Atari's failure didn't bring down Coleco ,Mattel, or Magnavox? Atari didn't kill the arcades in 1983 either. You would think there would be a documentary about the video game crash of 1983 besides Game Over which talks about Atari''s downfall and E.T.

Guess I don't win anything for finding it. Are there any easter eggs in Haunted Adventure Trilogy game 7?
-
Just get Fix it Felix jr and Ms Pac Man today. They might be 7800 on a chip systems as some of the other ones are NES on a chip and 7800 on a chip systems.

Hard to work on it with the mod wires keeping the top with the board.

a/v modded atari 2600 jr help
in Atari 2600

The unit is dead again. I swapped the voltage regulator and it powered up and died again. I put another voltage regulator in it and nothing. Now the stupid mod wires connected to the a/v plugs broke off again and won't reach. I don't know what to do anymore with this uncooperative POS that needs to be pitched.
