I screwed up. The first time I tried to solder that voltage regulator the solder got on the iron rather then on the board. I probably screwed up the wires going between the boards. I managed to fix my coleco telstar arcade when a wire came lose on the driving pot. I wanted to fix it myself but it always goes wrong. I didn't even put any of that stuff between the voltage regulators and the heat sinks because I don't have any.

In my senior year in high school we used a geology program on apple ii gs in geology class. It was about earthquakes and volcanoes. Everyone got stuck on a part about how three seismographic stations were used to locate the epicenter of an earthquake. Don't remember what it was called..

Some of the board around the voltage regulator is burned away. No way to solder it now.

I don't if I connected the wires between the power board and the main board correctly.

Not easy fix. soldered new wires in place and tried to fix that stupid 12 voltage regulator and nothing. Board around voltage regulator is ruined. I can't repair it. I can't even repair my hit and missile game and its in the trash. Anxiety gets in the way. Stop telling me its an easy fix when it doesn't work.

I got the ribbon cable off the main board except for a small part connected to the metal connector. I don't wanna deal with anymore soldering ,replacing , and repairing it just should work not break. The connector for the ribbon cable is still on the power board.

Don't have any spare cables right now. Walked down to Goodwill and Savers didn't find any PCs I could gut for cables.

I can play some games on my Intellvisiion Flashback yet Dungeons and Dragon cloudy mountain and Shark Shark run slow on it.

Can't go anywhere today. Mom's KIA Sorento is having electrical problems. The Alternator and battery were replaced after it died friday night and yesterday it started dying again. It's in the shop right now. Otherwise I would want to go to office depot and look for a new cable.

all the blue cables in the ribbon cable have ripped away from the end that plugs into the power board. The ribbon cable is beyond repair.

I ordering a new intellivision. I am wondering if there was flux on the board keeping the solder from sticking. The power board is wasted.

I and my mother soldered the stupid 12 voltage regulator several times. It worked for a while and the intellivoice wouldn't work. The ribbon cable got stuck under the brown part for the controller and it is ripped now. For some reason the solder on the 12 volt voltage regulator would not stick it kept coming lose. Why can't this stuff just work. I am sick of replacing , soldering ,and opening because of things that crap out for no reason. I just want a reliable working intellivision. I was sweeting like crazy soldering this thing.

mousetrap doesn't work due to missing roms. Exidy shooters don't have collision detection anymore. Lazarian sounds haven't been fixed ,and astro fantasia colors are wrong all while they add games and screw up perfectly working ones. It went downhill after retrograde was discontinued. The preservationists are ruining Mame trying to make everything perfect. we need another emulator to challenge mame.

All keypad function work on b17. I think I was trying to use the keypad and move at the same time.

Here is a problem the top of my left controller is wider then the bottom. could that be the reason the buttons don't work to well?

Can the flex circuit in the intellivision controllers be cleaned?

Got it fixes. You need to move the gear shift to 2 for four players and hit the button on the gun side to start a new game.

Now you tell me. I have alot of trouble switching between treatments on my left controller.

I got two new paddles today to hook up to the paddle connectors which allows four players on cartridge 2. When the reset button didn't work I opened it and checked the reset button. Now the steering wheel doesn't work. The car stays at the top of the screen and barely moves down. I think I will clean the pot for it after then I don't know what to do. does anyone have the instructions for all four cartridges? I learned the hard way cartridge 2 pong games don't use reset and when you want to start a new game you have to turn it off and then on again.
