  1. I wanna try to fix it myself. I think I need to open the RF shield.
  2. I know. The ring I stick the alan wrench into in that shaft has fallen down the shaft and is hard to reach now.
  3. Here is a video of the video problem. IMG_5354.MOV
  4. Here is what the video looks like now. I want reliable equipment that works. This stupid Telstar, my Playstation one slim ,and that broken paddle with my ultra pong doubles why? I would like to remove the RF shield but it appears to be welded and one of the battery wires is connected to it.
  5. I cleaned the pot. Wires don't look too bad. I think I have the wires in the wrong place. . Are they both supposed to go through the opening in the plastic bar by the opening in the paddle?
  6. I hooked it up to the tv without the lcd screen connected and got no sound or picture. With LCD I get sound but no picture.
  7. When I hooked it up to my TV there was no audio or video.
  8. One of the paddle controllers that came with my Ultra Pong Doubles console doesn't work. The paddle won't move. I cleaned the pot and still it won't move. I tried it in all four ports and tried the ports with the other controllers and it won't work while the other controllers work in all ports. Should I just get a new controller?
  9. Has anyone beaten Secret Quest. I can make it to the second or third level and then I run out of oxygen and energy.
  10. My playstation 1 starts up. I hear the audio but the video doesn't work is there a fix for this? IMG_5330.MOV
  11. Do you mean I hold the soldering iron to the solder to melt it or add new solder?
  12. I played and beat it a lot back in the day We had the touch pad controller and the overlay that came with it. atari 8-but and atari 5200 versions look a lot like starmaster.
  13. Okay I got the board out and it is bent a little The RF shield has one of the battery connections on it. I am afraid there might be a wire inside running from the shield to the top of the shield. What is the blue thing that turns next to the RF shield? It changes the picture a little
  14. Soldered the wires to the speaker and now the sound works. Still can't clear up the picture. It goes from nearly clear to scrambled over time by itself.
  15. Can the stand alone Adam use expansion module 1 to play atari 2600 games.

I would be afraid of people dumping homebrews with the thing. Attwong ought a be afraid of kids on Youtube using it to dump Haunted Adventure Trilogy and finding the ultimate easter egg by hacking the game which he doesn't want people to do.
  17. This is how I tune the rf box it also acts as a channel select I taped the wires to the speaker and the sound worked until I put the unit back together. Tomorrow I will find a way to cut the insulation off the wires so I can solider them back on. Ebay seller didn't say the speaker fell off and the speaker wires were broken. If I push the alan wrench all they down and it touches the bottom of the shielding the graphics get garbled and when I think the picture is nearly cleared up it gets messed up when I pull the wrench out.
  18. I used a bigger screwdriver and got that sucker out. I'll remove the circuit board tomorrow and look at the bottom of it. Used the same big screwdrivier to open up that jakks activision plug and play I got from Goodwill Friday. A couple of batteries in it had an accident and I had to clean it out. I am leaving it overnight to dry.
  19. The picture was snowy when I turned it on today. After I tuned the rf box it got like the second photo which is where it was when I unplugged it yesterday. It keeps going back to a snowy picture until I tune it. There is a photo of the screwdriver I am using to try to undo the screw. It just won't turn no matter how much force I put on it.
  20. I have the same issues and I am on my second power supply. If you think Colecovision power supplies are bad Commodore 64 power supplies can kill a Commodore 64 because the voltage outage suddenly goes bad and they can't be fixed because the components are covered in epoxy
  21. It is one of the screws holding the case together. I took a photo of the circuit board to show the rf box that is problematic.
  22. I got the telstar open enough to adjust the rf and I can't clear the picture up. When I plug it in the next there is no picture just snow and I have to adjust the rf box again. The glue that held the speaker in place broke at some point and that is why the speaker came lose. When I put an Alan wrench in the hole on the right side of the rf box and turn it I can clear up the picture a little.
  23. Don't have a drill or torque wrench to use a screw extractor. Just got a jakks activision plug and play and the screw got stripped when I tried to open the battery cover. I think whoever had it last turned it too tight when they put it in.
