  1. Not sure what to say, but when I picked up the 600 it had a ROM chip with a three-way switch over the modulator. Honestley though I've always done such things with software, but I haven't yet had to boot into 1.3 using whdloads
  2. I have a suped-up A600 I'd like to trade for a C128D setup... Details: -A600 PAL (British Keyboard) -New keyboard membrane (from sellmyretro) -A602 (2mb chip ram card from individual computers w/ real-time clock) -Multi-rom, hardware switchable from 1.3/2.05/3.1 -8gb DOM storage module (from amigaonthelake.com) -Furia 68020 fanless 33mhz accelerator, 9.5mb fast ram (from amigastore.com) -Restored floppy drive (from amigastore.com w/ new cable) -PCMCIA card w/ sandisk 256mb cf card -Completely recapped -Amiga 600 power supply -Amiga 600 (ergo style) mouse Works perfect and looks fantastic. The only possible complaint being the 3d-printed floppy button that amigastore includes w/ their restored floppy drives. It's running OS 3.9 and has a whdload setup... Plug and play. If you want an A600 thats ready to go, no fuss, no muss hit me up. Looking for a C128D NTSC setup in similar condition w/ manuals, maybe a few boxed titles? Email me for pics... If i get no response for trade I may consider cash offers.

  16. Hi, I'm relatively new to c128 and I'm wondering what sort of file browsers and what capabilities are out there. I've been using dc1280 on my c128d for file browsing, copying, disk imaging, etc... I found it to be kinda buggy (Even dc64 in c64 mode and indeed on my c64 breadbin). Here are some of the issues I found w/ dc1280: -when creating a directory, you get prompted, but after typing name (and no error given), the directory simply doesn't appear. -when making a disk from a d64 or d81... You can wait for the entire process to complete, then afterwards? The disk seems to have been untouched (nothing on it). -Disk format chokes and errors out. -When doing a multiple file copy that involves more than one screen fulls worth of selections... It simply copies the first file. Anybody else have similar results? Anybody using a different program with similar feeatures?

  21. Howdy, For my own sanity and marital bliss I decided to limit my old retro computing to Commodore stuff. As such I figured I'd throw my stuff up here and see if there is any interest. As most of this stuff was acquired in the last 2-3 years I would prefer to trade for interesting C= stuff as, most folks may not feel like paying the prices I did. Oh course selling is an option. Here's the list: IIgs rom1: -8mb ram card -Reactive Micro drive -High-Speed SCSI Card (Clone) -Mockingboard (Reactive clone) -Uthernet II IIgs rom3: -Apple ram card fully populated to 1mb -Apple high-speed scsi card -Uthernet II Accessory stuff: -IIgs rom1 motherboard (working) -SystemSaver IIgs (Weather stripping foam on the bottom could use restoration) -2x3.5" drives -1x5.25" drive -RGB Monitor, great picture -Apple ADB keyboard -2xApple desktop mice (Ergo style) -Kensington ADB trackball -Alps ADB trackpad Flawed: -Apple RGB monitor (sometimes perfect, sometimes blurry, sometimes skewed. Works perfect but top of case is cracked. -Platinum 5.25" drive (works perfect but case has couple of cracks) -Joystick IIe (orange buttons) works perfect, but cable is worn and taped) Here is a list of stuff I would like to aquire: -Commodore C128D -Commodore 1581 -1541 Ultimate II cartridge -Pet 2001 and/or accessories -Amiga 1000 and/or accessories -Amiga 3000 -Amiga 1200 keyboard/case -C= Datasette -Rare or oddball CBM stuff -IIe PDS card (For my uncle's Color Classic) Who knows? Perhaps something else?
