  1. I just recently started collecting for the CD-i the beginning of this year. I got a refurbished model 490 (with built-in DVC & more memory) with Effacer, Tetris and demonstration copies of the four Nintendo licensed games for a really fair price. I've always wanted this system after seeing a commercial for it as a little kid, thinking it looked amazing at the time. I've always known how poor of a system it is/was but I've had fun for it. I've been putting together a price guide/rarity list for all CD-i software for quite sometime and it's still been challenging to say the least. To this day stuff is discovered from all over the world and will be near impossible for anyone to have a complete CD-i collection. It's a fun oddity to collect for but I'd recommend either buying stuff in Europe (especially in the UK and the Netherlands) or buying lots. FYI a copy of the Lost Ride is available right now on eBay as of this posting for under $70 so prices certainly fluctuate quite a bit.
