  1. All original is not modded not recapped but congrats!
  2. Hi i see the list from Crossbow i am very limited as to how much i can enter but ill pick out the majors and have them up the 1st week of April. I will be updating the list every month so you should see it in a few weeks. I am just getting the jist of the Spread sheet and how everything works on here but so far i have fixed alot of errors on the list its not 100% yet but much more accurate. Also the title "The Serial number timeline" will be put back to Toymailmans i just did a quick title as im learning and it was to late to change it last month but again thanks for the info, Crazymoon67
  3. hi thanks for the submission the Mods are ? more details on the work are needed like a Comp or S-Video? also can you see the first ink number on your serial #? im having an issue reading it. thank you Crazymoon67
  4. Recently i found a 1st week of production power supply (2184) for the EP #293
  5. This one was on the list but now is gone not sure what happened so here it is again. Its a CIB with all the packaging.
  6. Recent addition to my Pro System collection is this August of 1988 unit It still has the plastic protector on its shielding and there is no export.
  7. This is the EL Paso 7800 #293 PCB before the clean up and wires were removed from the power jack.
  8. ? no opening does not alter anything mine is 100% original and clean inside and out and on display under a clear case,
  9. No i wish someone actually soldered a power supply on to it luckily i was able to get it off with no damage to the PCB i wil be looking for the same one you have mine being number 293 i would think thats a 1st week unless theres a 20 my PCB is stamped 21 -84 did you open this to clean it out yet? if so check the solder side right corner i believe for the date stamp.
  10. congrats very nice!... what is the date on that power supply 21 84?
  11. *About this unit -MFG Sunny Vale Ca 10/11-17 1982 W PRC/Warranty card manual CIB
  12. congrats this was probably stored in a warehouse till the 1986 launch they got stickers put on front and back deleting any mention of a computer add on but check the PCB solder side for actual week of mfg they may have continued making them into 1985 there is a difference between making them and just assembling them i think if i had to guess everything after some point in 1984 was just an assembled date from stock until 1986 and the Rev A production began but this is my opinion only.
  13. A1 on a 7800 7= the year 5 = the month your PCB will have a dated ink stamp on the solder side also check the IC dates.
  14. If there doing the A1 serial numbers like the 7800 its May of 1987? thats a super late system those Pcb's are probably the ones Best Electronics has left over from Atari they sell now.
  15. Hi it looks like they added the box to there console wich is perfectly acceptable because there is no serial number on the boxes of 5200s
  16. Hi im adding my CIB 4 port system to the list with my others its a 2nd week of October 1982 system,
  17. I found this one also its close in number 2 my other 7800 no exp port a Dec 1987 unit,
  18. The game boxes from 1984 all got 1986 games inside of them so what does that tell you about the system. A system released with no games? i dont think so no launch games no system it cant sell with just the pack in game i wouldn't think.
  19. I saw a newspaper article stating they would be doing a test marketing in San Fran and in LA the key word is "would be" did it happen? i see no evidence of a test anything other than that ad from 1984 no games other than pole position because that game was in the system box so ya it got made. In my opinion no they all sat for 2 years.
  20. comp modding a low serial is probably not a good idea its worth more OG ill buy the modulator off you if you want to sell it it should have a date code on it from 6/84.
  21. Actually he is wrong the power supply made in Japan grey with black sticker was a Heavy 6 power supply for units serial # or letter in this case J - N and then yes it carried over to the light 6er units.
  22. Hi i have had these 2 AT84's for a while now but the thread was dead for so long i didnt bother to send them glad to see its been updated and in good hands. AT8413423 AT8408385 both have the exp/port
  23. Very nice if you flip the board over there should be a date stamp stating Rev A on it in the corner with week and year. So far 26th week on your serial number is not that old for that low number of 517 unless these Elpaso were not made 1st mine is a 24th week sunnyvale but your PCB mat be dated earlier than the shell sticker.
