I never understood the appeal of beer. I've tried it a few times, and I thought it tasted terrible.

Yes. Most of it is piss water. Beer is a social lubricant, a male bonding thing. A cool thing one just does. A rite of passage. If you don't do beer you're considered lesser. Just plain smaller and not with it. You can try the occasional glug, but your peers will immediately pick up on your "inexperience". Much like how you can spot a 40-yr virgin from across the bar.

If you're not "understanding" beer and bar scene, you need to up your testosterone. But not so much that it decomposes into estrogen and gives you man boobs. (by the way fat men have higher female hormones.)

I don't know of any beer schools off hand that teach you how to drink, other than perhaps life counselors or dating coaches.
