      I've been reading "The Odyssey File", a 1984 book of electronic mail correspondence between Arthur C. Clarke and Peter Hyams during the making of "2010", the first collaboration of its kind. Clarke speculated about databases and the potential of worldwide communication, and it's amazing to think of how far the technology has come in only thirty years ...
