  1. It's ironic how many "green" energy projects damage animals and the environment in which said project operates.

      Every energy project "damages" nature - one can only choose the lesser evil. Fossil fuels take a little too long to renew for my taste (millions of years), and nuclear power to me seems unsafe (cf. Chernobyl and Fukushima) - so there's little choice. Birds successfully adapt to man-made hazards, e.g. the common buzzard has adopted to the Autobahn quite well and uses it as a source of easy prey, including roadkill, while (mostly) avoiding to become roadkill itself.

      I wonder if anyone has studied the method of adaptation, communication? Observation? ..among the species that successfully work around man-made tech.

      Yeah Three Mile Island was no picnic either and we have another nuke plant that leaks into the aquafer here in the USA. They pump water in the ground ahead of it to push it back...
