I don't really try much predicting. But I do thoroughly hate overhyped new tech stuff. And those things have a track record of failing more often than not.

Also, I believe that near-vision displays like the HUD on the A350WXB or B787, and countless jet fighters, are quite useful.

But let's face it. I don't need twitter updates when stalking in the 'hood at 1am!

Just remember most consumer internet applications are just noise.

I was at an indoor kindergarten and lots of parents where using their phones, probably browsing some Facebook page (I leave my phone at home). I thought, they are not here, they are in cyberspace, they are living in a virtual space just sharing thoughts, completely disconnected from the world around them (and their kids!). People become online drones. In the future we don't need this planet, when we are born, we go online, Just like in the matrix.
