  1. What's the difference between "partly cloudy" and "partly sunny" in a weather forecast?

      Simple, the former means more sun then clouds while the latter means more clouds then sun.

      Neither. Most forecasters use "partly cloudy" nowadays.

      I found out both terms mean the exact same thing. It means between 3/8th's and 5/8th's of the sky is covered in clouds.

       

      They emphasize that the term "Partly Sunny" is to be used only during daylight hours.
