It'd be a cool thing to review classic documentation. Much of it is so well written and sets the standard for material that appeals to the layperson as well as the technical developer.
I totally remember being in school in the '80s where we were told there would be a big push to teach technical writing, like for docs and manuals...Of course we were also told we were going "metric"...
Good technical writing is becoming a lost art. I've gotten lots of material for my classes from 1980s computer books; the technologies have changed, but the fundamentals are timeless, and the older books did a good job of explaining them.
