My $400 PC laptop does a fine job running GOG games, educational stuff for my son, and the little bit of 7800basic programming I've been doing. My main desktop, a 2009 iMac, needed a new screen last year but that wasn't too expensive. It's been rock solid. I wish I could have stayed on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, but such is life with Apple these days. OS "upgrade" set things back a little but it's still perfectly usable. Not state of the art, but the, I still play...

It's a MEHbox. I bought it off the shelf at Best Buy almost 4 years ago. It's fine.

I mainly wanted a box that could hold a big internal hard drive as well as a budget video card. It's mostly a file server for family photos, occasionally plays some computer games, and is a remote terminal when I need a Windows machine.

It's enough to play the games that interest me. I have no particular feelings about it, and if it went away tomorrow I could reconstitut...

I built a new PC 5 years ago, to replace my now 11 year old PC. I barely have gotten to use the 5 year old one yet, so it'll be outdated before I have migrated to it.
