Gosh that Boeing crash is gotta be an embarassment. Under full takeoff power the plane is inherently unstable, and requires computer compensation to lower the nose.
Thats what everyone is saying, but the black box hasn't been inspected yet. It's all speculation. There's this wild assumption being made that countries like Ethiopia and Indonesia have the same standards of maintenance and flight training that say the US and Britain have. It's complete nonsense.
^ It wasn't so much a maintenance issue as a problem with the control systems. From what I've heard, the cause is something that could be fixed entirely in software.
Used to be mechanical bugs caused new planes to crash; now it's software. Sign of the era. Tragic for the families of the two planes lost; you would think Boeing would have sorted this out much sooner.
