Fun fact... Some of the early TI calculators had LEDs made by Monsanto.

I got this older calc, and you can see the plasma arc in the segments vibrating and shimmering.

I have a Sharp EL-6061 Memo Master from the 80's (pretty sure) and it still works like a champ! No joke even the original battery still works fine. It's perfect for quick work on my bank account or stock market stuff...I keep it next to my computer LOL ...
